• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

With the sad loss of Ruth Bader Ginsberg today, this election is almost certainly going to get a lot more heated over the next few weeks

Nope, Trump will pick (even though Mitch stonewalled Obama in similar circumstance) and then the Supremes are even more conservative...just what they(Republicans/Libertarians) want to stifle democratic voices.

The democrats can increase the size of the supreme court if they want to rebalance it

That will then be justification for the Republicans to do the same when they regain power and they've been in power many more times than the Dems... you can see the problem here.

I see Dr P is already attacking this with Trump and the economy. What he fails to mention is that Trump inherited a growing economy with falling unemployment. GDP growth was consistent and (other than 2016 where growth was 1.6%) was over 2% each year. Remarkably similar to under Trump who did not have to rescue an economy in free fall with rising unemployment. Of course, if you take out the 2008 crash, GW Bush looks to have been far more successful than Trump. Wages have grown under Trump, that is true, but so has Federal Debt and huge decline in international trade. Genuinely Trump has done OK, but no better than the course already set by Obama. These data pre-date the pandemic.

Trump has already openly said that the only way he could possibly lose would be due to fraud, before a single vote has been cast. He has said that if he loses he will take it to the Supreme Court. That is not how democracies behave.

If he does what he says he will and a conservative dominated Supreme Court awards it to him then America will no longer be a democracy. It's not that far from that now.

People will take to the streets if that happens
