• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Took this a while ago when walking on the path between Caswell and Langland. Anyone know what it’s called? According to the info on the phone it’s called a Saxicola, European Stonechat, but I’ve looked at other photos of stonechats and I’m not so sure. Possibly a juvenile?

Are there any birds still around apart from pigeons? I put out a lot of bird feeders recently and have seen only pigeons & squirrels. Admittedly I am in central London, but where is everybody?

East London, not Central London, which is in Travel zone 2 if they need to commute.

My wife had a window bird feeder off someone for her birthday a few weeks ago.
We haven’t had one bird on it. 😡

I'm by Morriston Park. Plenty of birds in my garden. Goldfinches, Robins, blue, great and Coal tits, jackdaws, wood and feral pigeons, a wren, and a goldcrest as well as about 6-9 parakeets. From the house we can hear teh woodpecker in the park as well as tawny owls. Oh and don't forget teh sparrowhawk, tried to take a parakeet about 6 weeks ago.
