Yea ive said all along he could come good. But the early signs aren't great and he shouldn't get the same leniency as a foreign player playing in a new division who we paid a lot less for.

Every player should get time and backing to perform when they are ours, what benefit is there to doing anything else?

He’s come in and got more goal contributions per minute on the pitch than anyone else in the team, maybe Vipotnik has overtaken him after last week. Unfortunately for him he’s probably sat behind a £15m striker.

So- posters are 100% correct -we should never write off a player without an extended run of games. The championship is a tough league to adjust to.
Here is what my eyeballs tell me re Idah
Positive - good physique, mobile and pacey, decent first touch, looks to create his own shooting opportunities
Negative - prone to losing possession when holding the ball up, looks lethargic and casual in the press

He is at a good age - and has scored goals in the Scottish premiership, champions league, and for a pretty decent international team - where he is a regular squad selection.
For those trying to compare him with Baker Richardson - please stop - you are making a twat of yourself.

Assuming that we will cash in on Vipotnik in the summer, Matos has 4 months to assess whether Idah is the answer. I trust him to make the right call.

Idah looks lazy because he is lazy.

Granted he hasn't had a fair shot yet he's only played 600mins in the worst offensive team in the league and got 4 g+a it really is a exceptional return considering the context. I agree he does have alot of attributes to like and his profile is similar to what is expected of a modern day ST.

But it's hard to justify giving him that chance when he comes on for 10minutes and walks around. I thought with how Celtic fans treated him on the way out he'd have a fire in his belly but that just isn't the case so far.

There is a player there for sure though.
