Moore put the fear of god into the US defence, Page's argument about wanting pace against the yanks was completely undone by taking off all our pace once we were getting the ball up the pitch with Moore on the pitch.

Playing Moore does not negate the need for pace, if anything it demands it even more because then you can get to the line and put the crosses in that Moore feeds off of.

The USA were favourites to win so A draw isn't that bad , I feel relief because A loss would have meant almost certain elimination

Some embarrassingly poor, shallow, meek shytehouse comments here tonight - slagging off our team, our manager and our efforts from the off. WTF.

Your opinions speak volumes - weak willed, lacking confidence, masking some inferiority complex. The very antithesis of our brave team, management and conviction to get a result.

Get a blinkin grip, grow a pair, show some grit and backbone, grow up. FFS.

Will take that. Need to score more goals against Iran than they do. They don't score many either so we're still a live dog in this group. Lucky

Um...and concede fewer against Engo, if You're going down that road. Personally I see it more as beat Iran and draw with Engo.

I'd have taken a draw before the match.

Pity about the first-half performance though.

He’s got a point. I’ve remembered why I don’t read the Swans match threads these days with you bunch of grumpy fuckers.

Personally I don't think it's the banker that a few on here think it is, hope I'm wrong.

I agree. England were clinical and Iran were all over the place from early on with the keeper injury . I'm hoping they're still wobbly and their backup keeper is as bad as he appeared today.

Poor first half

Very good second half

Well deserved draw

Would have taken a point, beat Iran and we can engineer a draw next Tuesday

Job done

Fair, personally I think this result sets us up nicely...

Shout out for the ref. When they said before the start "he's a young man from Qatar", I thought, here we go, political correctness gone mad, but in fact he was excellent.

Apart from whatever he was doing for corners (and free kicks near the box), I totally agree, he had a fine game.
