• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

After reporting on line to The Clowncil a month ago, and contacting my local councillor re the litter along Pentrechwyth by pass we are still awaiting any sort of action. There was a fella rang BBC radio Wales to complain about the very same issue, during the phone in about littering.
I know it's about money, blah, blah, blah.
But surely this could be sorted by now, come on SC let's see some action.🤬

Sorry but I think you will find that the cost of both repairs is a lot closer than you are suggesting. Not withstanding you think it cheaper to send a gang out multiple times.

It may not be cheaper to send them out multiple times to one stretch over all, but it certainly is to send them out once in this financial year and then again next year than it is to do a full resurface job. Budget years are the issue. Council budgets have been hammered.

On the littering, it’d be nice to see a revival of the advert campaigns we used to get rather than them waste public money picking up after lazy sods. It was drilled into me as a kid not to litter and it stuck. I even take my coffee cup out of the stadium and chuck it in the bin at the end of the match (although tempted to chuck it at Russ when he goes for his fist pump!).

Costs of materials/labour rise ever year. What I'm suggesting is that if you carry out a proper repair it should last at least a good few years, negating the need to return every few weeks or indeed ever 12 months. The council are playing catch up. Yes money is tight, but it also a question of looking after your assets correctly and in a timely and proper way. Anyhow, the rubbish problem on Pentrechwyth bypass is inexcusable, notwithstanding there are a lot of scruffy tw@$ about causing the issue in the first place.👍

And if anyone from the Council, is reading this, you can tidy up Plasmarl bypass, that's a fvckin disgrace an all.
Thanks awfully.👍
