• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

And of course if the coin had fallen the other side and “your boys” had first use of it we’d have had no mention of the pitch at all. Transparent.

There’s a difference between being a good batting pitch and being “unfit for test cricket”. The two statements are not even in the same universe of relevance.

How on earth is it so slow? It’s day one and struggling to carry to the keeper. Shouldn’t happen.

Probably cos it hasn’t rained for six weeks.

Never under any circumstances watch any test match being played in Asia whatever you do. It’ll blow your mind.

Bairstow got to his 50 from 58 deliveries and there's been only 1 maiden in this entire innings. I'd hardly call it 'plodding'.

Ebony Rainford-Brent said it best on TMS earlier. Root, Stokes and Bairstow just need to bat their usual way. Root's strike rate is hardly Boycott-esque, while Stokes and Bairstow's natural game fits with 'Bazball'. Stokes seems to feel the need to score faster than he normally would and gets out recklessly.

I didn't mean their play was plodding.. I meant just plodd away like, a throwaway phrase

Cant see the Aussies getting less than 350
Gonna boil down to 2nd innings shoot out.

What I know about cricket you could fit on a gnat but Joe Root went a bit nuts there.

Got to admire the Saesneg attitude there. Attacking as it gets.

Decent day for the Pom's in fairness, Thanks to Root again!

Moeen threw his wicket away and similarly did stokes, swinging like a rusty old gate at a widish ball, Pope was unlucky in fairness, not sure it was worth declaring with so little overs left in the day, they could have made another 20 runs or more if they had just slogged those last overs.

500 on that wicket, big mistake in not picking Wood, Jimmy Anderson is unlikely to be able to bowl for long spells both he and Broad are getting on moreso Jimmy and will Stokes Knee hold up to a decent spell, plenty of questions to answer for England.

Decent day for them though.
