• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I'd rather no more players instead of panic-buys

This has been a gre

Didn't say we didn't. It wouldn't be the end of the world though as they'll manage.

Theteam we have today is in a much better place than it was under LW. The business the Swans have completed already this window is great - the best in a long, long time!

We're going to see what VIP is capable of up-front and I think he'll surprise - but only if we give him fair game time. Now, it's not to say I don't want to see a new striker - or Idah - but if Celtic screw the deal then it won't be a huge blow moving forward.
Yeah. And Vipotnik gets injured away in international duty this week and is out for two months.

What then? We have no recognised striker apart from a young lad.

We’ve let three strikers go this window. We need one in.

Did Indy post something saying we’ve signed Patrick Roberts then delete it? 🤔😂

Anyone know why the deadline was moved to 7pm tonight instead fo the usual midnight?
Really up against it to get these deals over the line now.
Not sure of the reason but the window has been open for months, 4-5 hours being cut off the final day shouldn't make that much of a difference in terms of a club getting their deals done

Window should shut two weeks before the start of the season and stay shut until after the final day of the season.

I think it was to reduce the amount of unsociable hours. It makes sense really like you said most of the transfer will have been done well before the deadline.

I love all the people saying they wouldn't be bothered if we were left with one striker who has had two decent weeks in the past year, a back up who isn’t a striker and a youngster.

Are you mad 😂😂

Anyway - surely Idah will not be held back by Celtic now? It would be unbelievably ridiculous.
Agree on the last part, but if the option was a last minute panic buy on a 3-4 year contract or sticking with Cullen, Vipotnik and Wales I’d still go for the latter.

Have seen enough of the other signings we’ve made to believe it wouldn’t put us in any danger of a relegation battle even without a better centre forward.

It depends on whether avoiding relegation this season is the aim? Given noises off, I suspect it absolutely is not.

I agree re avoiding panic buys. But a loan would be vital. Otherwise one injury and we have no one. Even our best youngster out on loan.

Anthony Joseph claiming we are trying to sign Benson after his move to Celtic fell through (didn’t even know he was meant to be going there) if we do this, it’ll be one of the best deadline day deals we’ve done in a long time.

Praying we get it done in time what a signing he would be for us.

Window should be done away with altogether. Back to the way it used to be. One transfer deadline late in the season.
That would massively favour the richer teams who could cover injuries / loss of form when others couldn’t. This way evens it out a little as clubs can’t pack huge squads due to limits on players being declared as a final squad.
