• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Nightmare!
Saying that, clearing out stuff is another thing I'm more tolerant about, years ago I'd just go in like a bull in a china shop and chuck everything into a skip, nowadays I go through everything with a fine tooth comb in case I accidentally throw out my Swans v Scunthorpe United ticket stub circa 1987... 👀
Skips! I’m less tolerant of those bastards. £340 ffs.

There's loads of nostalgic things there and its difficult to cut yourself off from it, but it comes to a point as to where you have to stop etc, just ain't got the space to store things.

Sleep patterns influence my attitude and behaviour significantly. If I am well rested then I’m pretty calm about most things, like Jaxs I will queue without complaint, sit in a dental surgery waiting room and not curse, handle traffic jams with some calmness, and so on. But by Christ it’s a different story if I’m tired. Have been like this since I was a nipper; my mum always had me in bed early as she said I was a nuisance after a late night.

I am dreading the time, when it comes.

Aye, it's because they have to "dispose of the rubbish legally at landfill".

Meanwhile, back in the day, my stash of porn mags were dumped all over Penlan common, along with my BT and Radio Rental reminder overdue letters, along with 20 empty cans of Norsman larger.

Thank fuk recycling laws have been tighted up!...

Angry from Treboeth 😡
