If anyone makes their way down there, I recommend the tap room of Harbwr brewery bar. Rest of the pub was rammed but an extra 50 yards was probably too much for the Kiln Park lot.

Is that down a lane, on the left when walking down towards Harbour on the main drag through Town, if yes we went there a couple of months back.

Aye, ends up in the same place. Only found out today they'd extended their footprint to the buildings across the lane. They've grown really quickly.

Just everything there, restaurants are lovely, pubs, loads for the kids to do. Few of the Swans players go there quite regular, or atleast they used to, Rangel etc.

Great to hear RISC, do they still do thebhome made pizzas?
I once had a summer job at Oakwood Park and loved it due to the ethos the then owners (McNamara's) had.

Quick story, I was only 21 and full of it ....anyway there was a brick wall I could never work out on why it was built in the distribution area for the park at nearby Canaston Bowl.....I picked up a sledge hammer that was on hand and demolished it as I was training flat out at the time and felt it would give delivery vehicles an advantage

The owners , the McNamara's were asking who had done it....."oh shit" I thought......I said sorry it was me...." You've saved us £200" they said.

Sunday, Wrexham to Aberaeron Y Seler, ate at Harbourmaster

Good room at Y Seler, great bedding BUT so dark we had to have lights on at all times and window outlook was 20 foot to the windows in next door building so had to close blind as well. At £160 b&b can't recommend at that price.
Harbourmaster meal. Really poor service, wine arrived after meal and adults in charge need a lesson in hospitality. First and last visit.

Monday, Aberaeron to Premier Inn St David's. Good standard Premier Inn. Drove down via Cardigan and Fishguard, lobster roll and ice cream on Fishguard quay. Really good.

Tuesday, St David's to Milford via Solva and Newgale

Ty Hotel, Milford Waterfront. Really good hotel (under the Celtic Manor group) apart from small bathroom. Very good breakfast. I'd stay there again. Ate at Italian on waterfront. Very good.

Wednesday, Milford to Tenby via Freshwater West.
Billycan Tenby (Food place/bar with rooms above). Nice rooms but no breakfast served and you have to be out by 10am. Food good.

Thursday, Tenby to Sketty via Pendine and Laugharne. Great cake and coffee at Dylan's boathouse cottage and also the Cambrian Ice cream in the car park. Date night menu at Miller&Carter Sketty. Best steak I've ever had eating out.

Friday - Sunday, Sketty and Gorseinon. Rissoles, faggots and fish from Swansea Market, Joe's ice cream, Verdi's coffee 'n cake and calamari, prawns and cockles from the seafood shed near Bistro Pierre. All very good.

Note: the Mrs asked to see a room in the Oyster House (for future reference) next to Bistro Pierre. She said they were very nice and recommends room 17 for the view, room 8 has a small terrace.

All the hospitality staff we met on our trip were so nice, Harbourmaster apart, a great credit to the Welsh hospitality industry. Really enjoyed it. Only downside was the wind was blowing in the wrong direction so couldn't hear Chic at Singleton Park from the garden Friday night.

Just got back from a week in the Solva St David’s area.

Quite busy down there, been feeding on Mackerel, Sea Bass, Lobster and Crab, freshly caught of course. When the weather is fair the area is magnificent.

Shame to hear that about the Harbourmaster. I've had multiple stays there with the better half, usually taking the dinner, bed and breakfast option. Their rooms are lovely, especially the bigger (and more expensive) ones. Always had good food there and no problems with the staff, although I'm sure I read the owner there being one of those in the media talking about the difficulty of getting staff these days. Hopefully they'll improve the situation in the future.

Sounds like a cracking trip and reading the above has made me hungry! :lol:

That's a hell of a decent breakdown of your holiday, nice to read that there are other's who love their food

No3 Pen Cai at Aberaeron was a superb B&B, but they have now creased trading, its virtually next to the Harbour Master, has Y Seler replaced the pub, that was virtually next to the Chip Shop, The Cellar Restaurant was is below the Chip Shop, lovely food at the Cellar.
