• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Binge watching Colony on ITV X catch up , great start to the story but really running out of steam towards the end of the series .
Will stick it out for the last two episodes due to a loyalty to the programme and whatever cliffhanger awaits .

Three initial series where made , the expected forth series was cancelled due to viewing figures .

I absolutely loved Colony, and was gutted when it was discontinued, not sure what happened there, but it left so many expectations. It really is a great series, but when they pulled the plug like that, it just seemed you wasted a lot of time, for the basically naff all in the end.

Watched 'The French Connection' for the first time the whole way through a couple of nights ago on BBC4 (?), mostly to remember Gene Hackman.
I thought it stood up pretty well, apart from the poxy, let down ending. Did they run out of budget?

I forgot to say this earlier, Tuesday night I didn't know what the heck to watch, so I ended up watching The Godfather(1972), and for some reason I'd never seen it before. No doubt, you have all seen it, but wow what a film. It did make laugh though, at one point in the film Michael Corleone played by Al Pacino is running, and wow, it looks like a scene from Carlitos Way, 21 years in difference, and Al Pachino runs the same way. :)
Timeless classic that you can watch over and over again.

Any Steve Martin fans?

Only Murderers in the Building is a good series on Disney worth watching.

Started Shogun last night, mostly subtitled, which makes it a tough watch for tired eyes. Decent enough though.

Just struggled through to the end of Series 3 of Colony , watched it out of loyalty I suppose .

What an effort and looks like the CGI and Sfx guys threw the towel in too , a dalek would have looked a part .

Seems like series 4 was cancelled , I am not surprised .

I will start watching Adolesence tonight after Uni Challenge, but I have just finished watching Series 2 of 'The Change' on Channel 4 with Bridget Christie and Paul Whitehouse, and Omid Djalili which is really funny at times....

I am also presently addicted to watching the original 7 series of 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' with Patrick Stewart. Originally, really expensive to produce, 25 episode sci-fi series. It had cutting edge special effects (back then) and recommissioned 6 times. That would never happen now. It still looks really good

If anyone fancies a thrill ride, watch The Belko Experiment.
Fckn bonkers but brilliant.
