WHICH Magazine carried out a survey ranking 100 British seaside towns, and Swansea did well.
First was Bamburgh, Northumberland
Fifth was Aberaeron, Ceredigion as the top Welsh town. The fact that it is more difficult to get to than others in that area apparently was a good thing (?).
34th was Swansea with the following ratings: Beach 3 out of 5 / Attractions 4 out of 5 / Scenery 4 out of 5 / Peace & Quiet 4 out of 5 / Value for money 4 / 5.
99th was Weston-super-Mare
100th was Skegness: Rated 3 out of 5 for the beach, and 1 out of 5 for all the others.
This article will be in their June edition.
