• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Good article 👍

It seems pretty clear from that article that Martin will put any player in front of him than actually play him, he doesn't want him obviously, be sold to Ipswich for a paltry figure and will probably excel there and be sold on for a decent profit, nice deflection to Winters and Marsh by Martin.

Jesus wept.
Welcome back but I don’t want you.
Martin can fookin do one as far as I’m concerned. He’s got his teacher’s pets and anyone else is surplus.

Strange to mention him alongside players in positions in which he definitely does not play in.

Since he’s been at Plymouth he’s become a 10… so is up against Cooper, Cundle, Pato & Congreve for that spot.

If, as now seems likely, Whittaker is recalled, it's clear that it's for only one reason, Martin has as much but said there is no place for him even on the bench.
A 15/20 goal Morgan Whittaker playing in a what looks like promoted side would probably double his value in the summer, and maybe, just maybe earn MW a starting spot with us next season?...
I feel sorry for the lad, he's being hung out to dry by Martin even when he looks like he's finally turning his career around...

From Whittaker's perspective it's probably a blessing to be sold.
He will no longer have to deal with Martin.
He's had a raw deal here.
Good luck to the lad.

No point in us keeping him and paying him unless Martin is junked, so we may as well sell.

Struggling to understand the problem here.

RM doesn’t rate him and clearly isn’t going to play him.

Owners see him, rightly, as an ‘asset’, to be sold for money. If they then sell him and pass on at least some of the funds to RM to bring in a player(s) RM does want, then what’s the problem (and btw…I’m no defender of our crap owners)? Fck Plymouth (sorry) and fck Whittaker (sorry). This is business and if it benefits the Swans, I’m all for it.

I think it's more the concern that we would be selling a player who could be Player of the Season in League One for more of Martin's duds.

Get rid of a player scoring goals with pace for another Sorinola for example. If Martin doesn't rate him that's Martin's problem.

Thing is both Martin and Cooper have seen what he’s about in training and how he conducts himself there and attitude etc even Rooney shipped him out of Derby despite him having massive potential which he’s now showing, I’m sure these rumours of bad attitude have followed him here from Derby.

I’m hoping he’ll stay and play a part with us when if Pato/Ntcham/Femi leave, but I’m not holding out hope.

So we’re not going to buy any more players while RMs in charge then?…

Be interesting to see if a deal is agreed elsewhere before the FA Cup game as if he’s involved he can’t play anywhere else.

He's played for Plymouth in the FA Cup already this season.

Bluff double bluff, who knows if there is any true facts?
