I’d assume that there’s been some serious unrest for this to have happened. Certainly not a positive move, in my humble opinion. Whether it was the players who threw their toys or Williams, smells very off. Could be neither of course.LW may have created a rather large problem for himself if we play shite on Sunday after he returns to the dressing room. Very strange behaviour. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cdxzgdve6y0o
Probably his comments after the Sunderland game rubbed the players up the wrong way which lead to the shocking performance at Hull.I’d assume that there’s been some serious unrest for this to have happened. So we didn't need the manager before the game , or at half time. Makes you wonder why he bothered to turn up to the game at all. Now only if Grimes could master the art of fist pumping , we could sack Williams and save a wage.I tend to agree.
On one hand, it's encouraging to see the players, in particular Captain Fantastic, taking responsibility for a change.
On the other hand, as you say, Williams has taken a huge risk and potentially undermined himself by letting the dressing room effectively run itself.
Could be a masterstroke - or could be a huge risk. Hard to tell right now. But we'll find out soon enough I think...
Excellent post, couldn't agree more! The manager's job isn't to just hand round the oranges and throw the odd football boot at half time.People are just being silly here - that performance yesterday had the Luke Williams stamp all over it.
The style of play was pure Luke Williams - what happens from the coaching team during team talks is minimal compared to the hours on the training ground.
Plenty of managers past and present have done this - we’ve had the kit men and kitchen staff giving team talks in the past … no one was complaining then.
Onwards and upwards!
That’s fair enough, but why change the routine for yesterday and then tell the press?People are just being silly here - that performance yesterday had the Luke Williams stamp all over it.

As I said yesterday, nothing to complain about performance wise so latching on to this nowPeople are just being silly here - that performance yesterday had the Luke Williams stamp all over it.

We didn't get out of second gear against Sunderland, QPR weren't good enough to capitalise on that. If they had got 1 goal who knows what would have happened.I think the 2nd half was pure game management and conservation of energy before another important game on Sunday.
We didn’t get out of 2nd gear.
Can't see the drop off in performance being game management, we've had subs bench if we want to conserve energy. We didn't get out of second gear against Sunderland, QPR weren't good enough to capitalise on that. If they had got 1 goal who knows what would have happened.
