Williams out

Unusual given some of the range of stuff I listen to, but apart from Meddle to Animals, I can’t really take to PF. How anyone likes the Sid Barrett stuff mystifies me. I accept it’s probably me that’s missing out. I’m watching it now and wondering WTF.
I didn't watch it, watched Pau v Ospreys :ROFLMAO: Then MOTD :ROFLMAO:

Having watched Bournemouth give "rampant" Newcastle a footballing lesson, despite having 9 players out, and only having a bare 11 first team players available, puts to bed the shocking performance of us and, in particular, Williams, today. High pressure, high intensity, accurate forward passes, they came away with a 4-1 win at Newcastle. What a progressive, FORWARD thinking manager can do.

Oh dear. Nothing like a 3-0 humping from our rivals to stir up emotions. A terrible day all round it seems.

Some of the Syd stuff was bonkers. Some of it was sublime. It's probably worth checking out some of the Nick Mason Saucerful of Secrets band versions.

Relics is one of my favourite compilation albums. Listening to it as a teenager in the late 70s felt like discovering a lost world, along with the Velvets and MC5, even though a lot of that music was barely 10 years old at the time!

A 3-0 thumping that perfectly encapsulated all our current problems. We can only score by sliding the ball to Cullen’s feet; Ronald rarely gets as far as attempting a ball into the box and Eom is marked out of the game, so Cullen-friendly balls are now vanishingly rare. Fairly easy to work out how to play against us when we only have one idea for scoring goals. Combined with no dead-ball capability whatsoever and a defence that is weak against counter-attacks. Not sure changing the manager will do much for our attack unless we also invest in new players, but he needs to sort the defence pdq at a minimum.

We've got two good headers of the ball in Darling and Bango, so we bring them up for corners, then instead of putting it in the mix, we try some short corner fancy bollucks and it ends up back with Vigoroux.

And part of that is because Captain Fantastic takes most of the set pieces, where only about 1 in 10 attempts beat the first man.

We have so many deficiencies in this side - some of it is down to Williams but most of it is because we have too many shite players. Plain and simple.

Just back.

Back on topic : Williams OUT, 'prompto'.

Too many Williams-Martin apologists deflecting from the reality that Williams is the rotten apple, the weakest link, the limiting factor holding us back from kicking on and delivering what we know the boys can deliver (QPR the recent exemplar blueprint) - Entertaining, Effective, Efficient, Winning Footy - leveraging the very best from our capable assets.

This defensive weakness you talk of isn’t helped by our marauding full backs who are rarely in the correct position when required to be.
