Williams out

As long as Fulton isn't starting again we will improve.

Watched him closely yesterday, back to the opposition looking for his 4 yard pass, not really interested in getting forward into key areas for a pass and his customary yellow card.

This guy should never be anywhere near our first team squad. Dreadful dreadful player.

Makes me wonder what they do in training (other than pass it to Grimes), are the players not following instructions or are they not being given any instructions in the first place? Because neither of those reflect well on the coaching staff
That's a great question.

I tend to agree with you.

Getting rid of Williams isn't going to change anything. The lack of decent managers at this level also seems at a premium.
So we sack Williams who replaces him?

As a club things are tight financially....we hear of players at LG 1 clubs earning more than some of our players, deals not offered or that is acceptable dealls to tie down our centre backs Cabango and Darling so we chuck money we dont have to secure players away in compo in sacking yet another manager who despite having limited attacking options has us sitting in 13th and if we had someone who could have put away the chances we have had like that Peart Harris had a Sheffield Utd....the couple last night we could be 6th or 7th.

Overraction.....he is trying to blood in the likes of Eom,Franco we missed Franco last night and we are missing Eom too the squad is paper thin...even Pep would struggle here

We're 15th at the moment (as Hull and Millwall are both winning), 4 points above the relegation zone.

I keep reading "if we had better attackers we'd be in the playoffs" but equally, if we didn't have Vigouroux in such brilliant form we'd be in the relegation zone, it cuts both ways.

People were more than happy to get rid of Duff last season, why should Williams get treated differently? He's not even matching the start to the season we made under Duff, who apparently had no idea what he was doing

Sorry all this even Pep would struggle is nonsense.

Williams needs to pull his finger out sharpish.

Can't be arsed to read all the posts. My view, a pragmatic one, is that we are doing as well as can be expected with what we have. I bleated all through the Summer that we needed another striker to derision from some. If Grimes played No.10 I'd be happier but I fear he is now ingrained into his current waste of fucking space role in defence. Our back 5 (including Vig) are fine. In front of them I don't think Luke knows what to do with his limited options. Eom, Ronald and Bianchini are League 1 or 2 level at best. Cullen is not a striker or a midfielder so where does he go. Joey is past it. Fulton is another guy, now playing at a level too good for him. Vipotnik, well, the less said the better. Abdullai doing his best on the wing for a defensive midfielder. Cooper and Franco are the only two I would play without having to think about it. Anyone I've missed is not worth mentioning. Luke is doing his best, 13th is impressive with this squad, but, and a big but, he is not a good manager as he doesn't seem to be able to adapt or change things when they evidently need changing.
Keep Luke. Hope the owners change. Get what we need in January. And hope.

🤣 “Daddy, what position do you play”? “I play waste of f***ing space, son.”

I could not agree more.

I don't know what the Williams Out brigade think a new coach would provide that would get more out of this squad, other than the usual new manager bounce you get for half a dozen or so games.

I genuinely believe Kenny Jackett's League One play off final squad were better than what we've got right now. It's just a dreary, average squad that's going nowhere - under any coach.

A good coach gets the very best out what he has to work with.

A perfect example of this is Craig Bellamy and Wales. In a very short period of time he's got them playing in way we could only dream of under Page.

The national team has talented players.

We don't - especially in attack

It's another nonsensical comparison

It's only nonsensical when it shows the deficiencies in your blind support of a manager that in this very moment in time seems completely void of any ideas and out of his depth.

The way the national team plays now compared to when Page was in charge is a complete contrast.

It's the same players different manager.

This is fair and it's basically what the owners have been pinning their hopes on all along - finding that special manager who can improve the players he has rather than need to spend money on new players they believe are better suited to their system.

Unfortunately we haven't found that manager (probably because there's not that many of them out there and every club wants one) and have compounded the problem by letting managers spend considerable amounts on players who aren't better than what we had. Then the next manager doesn't want those players and wants to sign 'better' ones. Rinse and repeat every time we sack someone.

I do think Williams needs to improve as a manager, but I don't think he's sacked this season unless we're seriously flirting with relegation.

Our owners pinning their hopes on finding that special manager?

Our owners wouldn't recognise him if he bit them on the arse.
Repeatedly.
