• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

We need a Lee Trundle-type player to come in and transform a really limited and tedious side into something entertaining and watchable. Easier said than done I grant you, but that's the sort of spark we need in this side. Sometimes it only takes a signing or two like that to get things taking off again, it can lift the place.

A player that's going to get people out of their seats.....

The family stand this years says that the kids in and around Swansea ain’t interested anymore.
Could be the parents, kids have to rely on the adults to take them.

It's certainly a concern the numbers behind the goal and the club needs to be looking at addressing that with cheaper tickets or even freebies through local clubs and schools even.

I have a feeling this question is going to become more and more relevant.
We're currently on 34. What points total ought to see us safe?

I think 48 this year would see us safe.

Luckily to a degree we have very inconsistent sides below us currently

Players like him would never make it in today's game. They just don't really exist anymore

I can’t bring myself to not get one. I’ve had my seat since the stadium opened, so if I let that go and just grabbed any ticket now and again, it wouldn’t feel right. Plus I need to get my grandson hooked and set for a life of misery watching us first.
Same here, been going since 1965 and have good seats with my son and my mate and his son, and now because of my age it works out about £11 per game. Hard not to renew really.

If I didn’t have the journey, I’d still have one. Just not prepared to basically give up whole Saturdays for it.

Never say never, but I can’t see me going back, as I wouldn’t want to even in the prem. I remember how exciting it was when we won that first match against Bolton, the Man City win, Arsenal win etc of that first season and it wouldn’t feel like that even if we got back there and actually managed to win a game.

Shocking look isn’t it
It is and it isn’t.

The swans do not have divine right to be in the championship.

When we got the prem it was magical and there’s been a number of years of relative high league positions.

Things have corrected themselves a bit. There is a malaise but that is more the way the club is functioning as a ‘whole’

That’s why we need to take stock and stop making stupid decisions because it creates a short term boost.
