I agree entirely. But calling for the manager's head when we're midtable, and almost certainly overachieving when you look at the actual pattern of all the games (Norwich and Bristol City battered us in the second halves but we got 4 points), it's absolutely mental.

I think people sometimes forget he's only been here since January. Not even 10 full months. When you consider the mess Duff left behind, we're in much better nick now then we were when he left.

He isn't perfect by any means, don't think anyone thinks he is, but if we got rid of him right now that would frankly be insane.
Who is calling for his head and we're certainly not over achieving. We are the third lowest scoring team in the league.

The mess that Duff left behind, the fella wasn't here long enough to leave a mess. I think you need to point the finger at his predecessor if you're looking to blame anyone for our current inability to score goals apart from the current guy in charge.

I also don't stand by the notion he's only been here for ten months, other managers have rocked up at other clubs and turned things around in a much shorter space of time down to their philosophy.

Can you tell me what Willims, philosophy is? I'm struggling to figure it out at the moment.

Re your first point, after Sheffield United and yesterday there were people on here wanting him gone. It's all there in black and white mate.

As for the next bit, if you're still blaming Martin for what happened under Duff then that's not even worth engaging with. I've got nothing for you if that's what you think.

Re Williams's philosophy I'd have thought that was quite clear from very early on - he likes a 4-3-3 with wingers, he wants to attack mostly down the flanks, he likes the full backs to join in with that. He just hasn't got the players to do it. Because the guy buying the players for him was Luton's janitor, but for some reason Andy Coleman thinks he's amazing.

We were void of any ideas yesterday and against Bristol City.

It's just rinse and repeat. The manager is paid to find solutions to improve performances with the tools at his disposal. We are the third lowest scoring team in the league, that's worrying.

I agree with you Coops, we should have more points on the board than we currently do. If this isn't sorted sooner rather than later I can see us getting dragged in to another dog fight.
Football is a funny old game.

I thought Ronald should have buried his 2 chances and Eom was unlucky with the shot that comes off the crossbar.......we should have arguably been going in half time time with 3 goals.

I can't say much for the 2nd half.

If we had got another striker and left winger in then you could argue that we might have more points on the board with better options off the bench.......this could discussed and counter discussed for the whole season.

Didn't see anything calling for him to go, I'll have to take your word for that.

You can't blame a fella creating a mess who was here a matter of months compared to the previous guy who was here for two years unless you are bought in to the cult of Martin which I have a suspicion you are. So to save everyone's time and energy it is probably wise for us to put that to bed, we're never going to agree.

I'd question the formation you've mentioned, it seems more or 4231

The managers job at this club is coach players that we've signed based on their potential and for us resell at a higher price. It is fairly worrying that Ronald is a shadow of the player we signed in January. I have no idea where we are at with the likes Viptonik and Bianachi, they can't get enough minutes on the pitch.

There is no doubt Luke Williams is a lovely guy, I really want him to succeed. What I want get caught up with is making everyone else at the club a scapegoat because of the managers current short givings.

Martin got away with murder because of his ability to play the piped piper where as Duff didn't because his persona was as dull as dishwater.

In flashes we've seen what we're capable of. The frustrating part for me is the managers lack of ability to influence games with his substitutions.

“Williams out!” is far too strong a call at this stage, we’re too good to be calling for his head. However he must not fall into the same trap as Martin who was too stubborn to change things. For example, this persistence with playing Abdulai in a wide position is edging him closer to the label of stubborn.

We’ve got a decent enough first 11 except for the striker position which is criminally vacant. (Will Vipotnik get more goals than Yates? - I doubt it)

We haven’t got a squad though. Pretty much every substitution makes the team weaker.

All our attacking players were substituted yesterday and then he took Franco off and put Fulton on so there was no longer any bridge between the attack and the rest of the team as the chuckle brothers reverted to type.

To me, to you. Oh dear, oh dear.

Viptonik needs a run of four or five games in the side without the fear of getting hooked. The lad clearly needs minutes in his legs and his confidence is probably shot to bits with the way things are going for him.

If Franco isn't fit enough to finish a game is also a huge concern for either the player or the conditioning team need to be questioned why a professional sportsman can't last a full game this early in to a season.

With the quality of attacking players available on our bench I suspect Pep woukd struggle to influence games with his substitutions

I had never heard of Vipotnik before we signed him and is League 2 any stronger than the Championship? I very much doubt that. He may well turn out to be a duffer, but some game time is needed before we get to that conclusion.

Unless they get minutes on the pitch none of us will know if they've got what it takes.

Clear for everyone to see Fulton and playing Abdulai on the wing isn't going to change anything going forward.

This rhetoric of blaming the owners for what happens on the pitch needs to stop just because the manager is a nice guy.

When it was Duff it was all his fault now we have a likeable guy in charge it's the owners.

Exactly, he has shown in glimpses what he's capable of. The manager states he needs time to get up to speed with things.

If that's the case, give him the minutes. It's got to knock your confidence seeing players like the lad from Brentford starting or coming on for you.

in fairness Vip is starting to get minutes...he looked good testerday and yes needs more time and a goal to get gis confidence up.
Whikst at the same time the manager has ri find a balance to get results despite being un besten at home he is gettjng pelters whatbif palying the likes if Vip from the start who are not up to speed and we lost?

For me we are playing rhe best football for a long time....is it Williams fault Ronald didnt convert the cahmce yesterday or Peert-Harris at Sheffield

Maybe i set a lower bar of expectancy given i remember the grim years of the mid 80s and 90s....despite experiencing the highs of the Tosh years.
Since then football has moved on money talks and we dont have it...also decisions about subs are not the manager/coaches aline....the stats and conditining guys monitor eachnplayer with a gps and this will dicyate
