• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I’m hoping it’s just because it’s still early days, adapting to a new league, the pace, intensity and fitness etc…

… but this boy isn’t given us much hope for optimism, is he?

Seems completely out of his depth in the intensity of the championship. I’m sure he has some talent, but at the moment he appears no better than Dhanda.

Like you I just hope its because its early days

Only in writing that did I draw a comparison to Dhanda… but their similarities as players to flatter to deceive are clear.

Good point, I'd love to know what was going thru his mind today.... What the feck have I got myself into, sprang to mind. It'll be a steep learning curve for him me thinks.

christ give him a chance mich!

Happy to give him a bit more time but right now he feels like a luxury, looks good in a winning side type of player not a great fit with us right now but let’s see how Feb goes for him.

I did start my post by saying ‘I hope it’s because it’s early days etc…’

I’ll give him every chance… but from 3 showings… it’s not looking particularly promising. Would have hoped to see some sort of glimpse of quality by now.

Every highlight I have seen with him at his best he is playing in a tea that shifts the ball quickly and gives him space to work with.
Today it was like we were playing fkin grandad walking football such was the lack of tempo and urgency.

Agree. Would have been better in the team we saw in the second half. The inconsistency in performances is incredible. Has to be an Issue with Martin’s tactics. Either that or he’s got one hell of a hairdryer he uses at halftime.

To be fair, you could have put the front 3 of any team in to ours today and they would have struggled, such was the lack of movement/urgency/pace of passing form our midfield and defence.

Cant judge a player when everything is so slow. Every time he tried to turn forward it was just him and Piroe vs 5 or 6. Martin carries the can for today. Tactics, selection and worryingly (because it is obviously what he wants) playing style.
