• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Yes, that 4th goal was absolute class! Take a bow Mina Tanaka, worthy of any game, men's or women's.

I haven't watched much of the tournament so far, but if there's a better team than Japan, I'd be surprised.

Agree, I don't bet very often, but might well have a few quid on Japan to win the tournament.

Styles make fights, as they say.

I think Japan were the perfect kryptonite to Spain, who I still fancy.

Elsewhere you'd be remiss to ignore the defensive resilience of England.

Coincidentally England are likely to play Spain in the first knockout game

Nigeria isn’t it? Assuming Engo don’t lose to China. Spain play Swiss. I enjoyed this morning’s Oz match. That’s how to deal with win or bust under pressure.

Yes you are right, I didn't realise they do it differently from the usual 1st A vs 2nd B etc

England thumping China.

Lauren James could be the superstar the womens game needs.

English superstar the English game needs? Putellas of Barcelona and a few others like Sam Kerr are already superstars and poster girls for the game.

Nobody outside of the women's game really knows who Putella is, she's not on video game covers, talked about in other media etc

When all the sponsors started to take notice of the potential of women's football, Kerr was the one who picked up the torch, but I don't think she's the one who can move it forward.

It needs a huge personality or exceptional talent to put it on the next level, or with luck the lightning combination of both.

LJ certainly has the talent, in spades.

I agree, looking at the technique she utilises to score her goals reminds me of our own (at the moment) JP. Goals that would have most people drooling if scored by a man.

Panama currently 1-0 up against France after 17 minutes, and dumping them out of the WC as things stand

Madness. Long way to go though, an eternity if you're Panama.

South Africa get a last minute winner to eliminate Italy
