• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I wouldn't be surprised if we offered Joey a new 1 year deal in the summer.
He has to know himself that he isn't getting any younger and would do well to get anything longer than that elsewhere.

In the meantime absolutely we should start grooming a long term successor to him whether that be a prospect from the academy as Joey himself once was or brought in from outside the club.

I have heard people say that Abdulai's preferred position is holding midfielder though I have never seen him play there personally. Not sure what other academy prospects we might have that can step into those shoes.

Allen is dynamic and gets on the front foot. The combo works well with Grimes. Fulton unfortunately reduces everything to negativity and backward passing. Russball had left his stamp truly on him
I've always been a massive admire of Fults, but my opinion has changed this season, he's turned into a bit of a liability with little substance, sorry Jay if you read this, but I've been disappointed with your application this season.

Wish we could unearth another Joey, if that is Abdluai then get him on the pitch once Joey tires after 60 mins, what's there to lose? we not going up and not going down so if we can unearth another gem then lets give him the opportunity to see if he is that player and give the lad game time and not now and then regular consistent game time.

Shows how important it is to have the right player next to him; he's looked really good with Allen in there. Need to find another player with the same profile as Allen to sign in the summer.

Is the lad we were going for from Scotland similar to Allen - didn’t the club say we’d be trying that one again this summer?

If not Abdulai, then what about Sam Parker? He's the current starlet of the youth system; getting fast-tracked to the 1st team squad at 17. I believe he's played mainly as a full-back/wing-back for the U-21s but is listed as a midfielder on the OS squad listings. If he's as good as they think he is then maybe he can move to centre-mid. He certainly likes to get up and down the pitch and get stuck in to attacking and defending.

He feels more like a winger in the making from what we saw of him prior to his injury (and an exciting one at that with real pace). His end product wasn't entirely there but he was making the right decisions consistently regarding when to cross, when to come inside and shoot, when to take a man on and when to retain possession and pass it back inside/to his full back.

Totally agree with this - a completely different player when Allen is in compared to Fulton
This. But haven't a lot of people on here been saying for some times that Fulton playing alongside Grimes just doesn't work.

Spent a few days at Hereford this week funnily enough, I love the place, especially the River Wye
Took my wife to the Courtyard in Hereford a couple of years back, fabulous little theatre and she loved the place.
