• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Seems they're interested in signing him. Whatever next?

God only knows.

This is going to make Coleman and co very uneasy with the Grimes situation now in the press and looking likely to happen.

In reality, we would be looking to cash in on Darling with us getting in a permanent replacement.
Unfortunately a continual of poor transfer windows is hitting hard now.

I’d like to keep him if possible. Him/Cabungle and another decent Championship CB plus a youngster would see us well.

Probably better to sell than let him go on a free, but we’re just back in the endless revolving door approach to our transfers.

And get Pederson out - what a waste that’s been.

Selling your best players is part of Swansea folklore:
"Ambition is Critical" - Thomas. Only if it brings a return incoming like Delcroix, Low, Fosu-Mensah + "a Mitrovic". Football has only one purpose-to score goals because," Thats Entertainment".!

Think it would be problematic if Grimes and Darling left before end of window...
Yes, but as fans.

As a business, money talks, do we get something for him now or nothing in th esummer.

As always it will all depends on the knock on affect for the rest of the season to a team already low on confidence and form

And the replacements...

And the replacements...
This has been an issue since the yanks came on board. They have been reactive rather than proactive.

Look at the summer we sold Gylfi, that deal dragged on for 40 days and eventually when we sold, only then did we push on with replacements and ended up with Clucas and a crocked Bony.

Regardless if Darling goes this month, end of season or even stays......we need a 3rd centre half and should have got a permanent in rather than a loan. Reality is, we could now end up with 1 senior centre back for the majority of the summer.

Getting stop gaps in is not the way to go and we need someone who is proactive in the corridor of power.

And the replacements...
It's been like that for a while for me.
At the end of each season there was always a few players that I didn't want to see leave.
Now nothing, obviously there are one of two that could develop with better players and tactics, but I've got to the stage of yes it is all about the replacements.

Grimes/Darling clearly no world beaters. But we don't replace em with anyone remotely decent then start planning for league 1 ladies.

They're no world beaters but are probably two of our better performing players. Which says it all....

My first two names down on our starting XI (closely followed by Franco).

Hopefully Sheff Ut's interest will prompt the Wurzurl's to come back in for him - they've long been rumoured to be after him.
Might get a mini bidding war now if they think he can be got in Jan.
Not ideal as we have feck all time to find another CB mind.

They'd have to accelerate Low. Not sure he's the answer mind
