• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

And they don’t serve the slops they do in the stadium. Get some real choice of beers and lagers in there
I was told today that they were charging 7p for a pint at The Swig, this evening for VE Day. Bet there’s some states down there if it was tidy lager they weee doing it for.

There's a lot of scope to think outside of the box here though. They could have some great memorabilia there, show classic swans games, have regular guests, (Trunds / Robbo etc), maybe even have live commentary from there of big away games?, opportunities to sell merchandise there (swans pint glasses etc), show youth games live? Then there's obviously the opportunities with AU vodka etc.

Excited to see how it goes.
This.

A great idea - hoping it's not £6+ per pint like the stadium bars.

If they do go down that route, it won't last 5 mins. On Wind St you have Statement, Sports Bar, Railwaymen's, Cross Keys and Hogarths, all cheap as chips. With better prices next door, at £6 a pop people aren't going to stay around for more than one just because it's got a bit of Swans wallpaper.

This is going to be managed by the same company who operate the Sky Blue Tavern for Coventry rather than by the club which is disappointing.

They are looking at replicating this for a number of clubs

This is the one at Coventry https://skybluetavern.com/

The only positive is that the prices look more than reasonable and will drag people in. 3.99 for a pint etc and food for 9 quid

Still happening? Doesn’t look like any work has started at the premises yet.

Not happening as Wrexham have put in higher bid for the premises.

They are getting everywhere..
