I do hope the non signing of Low is a signal that we are targeting better quality players than L1 as whilst there is obviously good players at level, generally they are playing at that level for a reason.

Although the Santos signing contradicts that statement (but I am on record saying I was disappointed with the Santos signing).

IMO too many L1 or below signings is a road to relegation.

IMO too many L1 or below signings is a road to relegation.

That ignores the fact that many of our foreign recruits were playing at League One level, or lower Championship at best (Eom, Widell, Inoussa). Recruiting from the Championship or PL is very expensive, and can only apply to a select few. The real value is to be found in the lower leagues and smaller foreign leagues.

Oli MacBurnie personally I wouldn't go back in for. I do think he can do the job but I would want to see Wales and VP given time with us. Alot of people not liking VP but I think given time he will do well.

If we can get £3 million for him, then that would be a good return and strengthen the coffers. That's probably a bit optimistic mind.

Vip's got potential but he is not the CF to lead the line for a playoff team
Mind you, I don't think you could say that about many of the rest of the first team squad
