Summer Transfer Window

Probably trying to tap his missus up 😂
The thread went something like the Dr said Bony the best striker he’s ever seen here (fair enough) but then went on to say Trundle wouldn’t be in his top ten of strikers here. Then got a little bit derogatory about magic Daps and the level he played at, said he was in his prime at 28 when he moved to the wurzels, so Trunds joined the the thread and said he was 31 when he moved, then it appears the Dr blocked him. But the Dr is too embarrassed to answer me now.

Why did you block Trundle on Twitter?

It's odd in general that any sane, adult human being cares who someone else follows on Twitter. To be this obsessed about it even more so.

If you're that interested, I did it before muting was a thing you could do. I grew tired of middle aged weirdos obsessing over everything that happened in the 2000's and pretending that a good player, an important, influential player no doubt, was one of the best ever to play for the club.

It was a fantastic slice of Swans twitter.

A yes or no would have been good enough.

You must have blocked him after he told you he was 31 or else he wouldn’t have been able to answer, surely?

Just admit it mun 🤣🤣

Having a little look into this Israeli that has been linked to us.
Stands at 5ft5 and is more of an attacking midfielder capable of playing out wide(mainly left).
Last season he played 10 games in the Europa league plus 34 domestically. He doesn't see to be a goalscorer although he got 9 league goals in 2023-24 seasons.
Seems to be one for creativity and assists, he got 11 assists last season for his club.
Seems more like an O'Brien alternative.

I have zero problem myself with us recruiting an Israeli player any more so than a Spanish player, a Chinese player or a South Korean one (or a North Korean one for that matter though I don't think there are any professional North Korean players outside of North Korea itself without resorting to google). Every football player (and people of any career for that matter) is entitled to the right to be employed without their religion and world outlook being held against them.

I believe that everyone is entitled to their religious beliefs and their opinions on the wars with Iran and Palestine, as long as the prospective player keeps those opinions to himself and doesn't turn the club into a platform for him to air those views and risk turning the club into a soap opera and bringing it into disrepute.

Whether or not I agree with those views is besides the point (I'm not going down this rabbit hole again), I have made my thoughts on the genocidal maniacs in charge of Israel perfectly clear before. No matter if someone's opinion is right or wrong, the club does not exist for them to use it to push their agenda in the public eye.

I do agree though that currently it would be a very risky proposition to bring in such a player without extremely strict due diligence and risk assessment for the reputation of the club.

Hmm

Putting aside the optics of signing an Israeli player at this moment in time, the guy is 27, has never played outside the Israeli league and only has 16 caps for a fairly crap international side, so no thanks.

The optics are we shouldn't sign an Israeli at the moment, especially one that has nailed his colours.

The last thing I want to see is the possibility of an Israeli player draping themselves in that flag at our stadium. Massive no from me
