Things move fast in football. If bringing Idah in means Vip requesting a transfer then it’s not the smart play. The terms were agreed, Idah was at the club Friday and Celtic called him back. They could ended looking very foolish for stalling and their fans will be calling for heads to roll.

Celtic fans call for heads to roll if the Scotch Pies run out at half time, the board are used to this sort of hullabaloo. Celtic called him back to cover for tomorrow which in the circumstances is understandable. The deal will go through, whatever happens to Vipotnik is up to our owners, hopefully we can accommodate both.

We could sign 2 strikers and VP leaves

Idah could fall through and VP leaving a different striker coming in

I’ve been watching us long enough to realise that this team has much more about it than every team we’ve fielded in the Championship post PL relegation. Arguably stronger than the class of 2011 too and remember how that season ended.

Lots of reports that Idah has undergone a medical but any confirmation?

In any case, I wouldn't lose much sleep if Vip is our first choice forward between now and January. Another would be nice just to ensure that we don't have to see Cullen up front again any time soon, but it's not essential.

Would happily take a loan or two to fill out a few squad spots at RW and LB for now.
