The Summer Transfer Window Thread

It does. Doesn’t change the point though.

This situation is simply ridiculous. It’s mucking about for the sake of it.
Celtic have only one striker on the books at the moment, (apart from Idah) a youngster, I'm guessing a signing has fallen through or hit a snag at the last minute, Glasgow derby tomorrow, hence the delay.

They can keep him if they’re going to mess around. Let them be stuck with a player who doesn’t want to be there. I think we’ve got all we need with Vip, let’s save the cash

Read my post again pls.
I fully expect Celtic to sign a striker before the deadline, possibly two, there is absolutely no way Brendan Rodgers is going into a game (especially a Glasgow derby) with just one recognised striker (22 year old Johnny Kenny).
I'll bet my mortgage Adam Idah will be our player by Monday.

How? It makes no sense to spend millions on an inconsistent striker with no confidence, from a team that pulls the rug out of the transfer at the last minute. Especially if it means losing Vipotnik who’s now scored 3 in 3. Makes 0 sense. If we could get them both brilliant but I don’t think Vip will want to be a bench warmer anymore.

Nobody has pulled the rug at all, the transfer will go through, bookmark if you want. This time last week not many would have cared if Vipotnik had signed for West End. Idah is a good player, better than we have, even Vipo.

Not from what I've seen.

Things move fast in football. If bringing Idah in means Vip requesting a transfer then it’s not the smart play. The terms were agreed, Idah was at the club Friday and Celtic called him back. They could ended looking very foolish for stalling and their fans will be calling for heads to roll.
