Well that might be a bit early to say - at Sheff Weds we showed some fast moving play on the break and it could have been 4-0 to us.We've had enough games under Sheehan now to know what we are going to get. There isn't going to be any overnight transformation. I hate comparing to the past, but you could see pretty much straight away the playing styles of Martinez/Rodgers and Laudrup and the buzz they generated. I can't help but find us still boring to watch, I find our style of play very basic compared to the names mentioned above.
I’d think it’s fair to say if Stamenic had been playing Hull wouldn’t have got any points off us.The jelly needs a few more games to set, I'm sure we will be firing before the gogs turn up in December, hopefully well before that.
By that logic we still don’t really know if it was a tough start or not. We will have a better idea at ChristmasI never bought the "tough start" nonsense. This was declared before a ball was kicked and the Championship's overwhelming characteristic is being unpredictable.
The average position of the 5 teams we've played so far is 17th and, apart from Middlesbrough, the other 4 teams have won 2 out of 20 games.
And not sending off the Hull player who went in studs up on Franco. We’d have smashed them with them being a man down.Which feels like the kind of thing we should be saying if we were in the bottom half of the table right now.
While we're actually 7th and were 2 shit refereeing decisions (the amount of added on time and not giving a freekick for the foul on Ronald) away from being in the playoff places.
That challenge was just one of many that referee Webb failed to give while the blatant shirt pull on Ronald in injury time turned the game and led to Hull's equaliser. And not sending off the Hull player who went in studs up on Franco. We’d have smashed them with them being a man down.
I had actually forgotten about that challenge and not seen any replays. And not sending off the Hull player who went in studs up on Franco. We’d have smashed them with them being a man down.
The Sheff Weds match was like walking football, no tempo to the game and plus they are nailed on for bottom of the league.Well that might be a bit early to say - at Sheff Weds we showed some fast moving play on the break and it could have been 4-0 to us.
What drove me mad on Saturday was taking off our key midfielder Yalcouye who was keeping them at bay and Inoussa our only player that can unlock a defence and provide the killer assist.
Taking those two off and chucking on Cullen out of position and the highly ineffective Eom on the left wing surrendered two points to Hull. And it could have been worse!
The subs were terrible and all down to Alan Sheehan - a serious misjudgment.
Our play wasn’t boring under Sheehan last season, not possession based per se but it wasn’t unentertaining to watch in my opinion. We’ve not been boring this season either, we’re not struggling to move the ball, or to compete in games, we’re just a bit reticent in the final third at the moment. I’d expect that to improve as we go along. It’s clear Sheehan and the coaches have had a positive influence on both Ronald and Vipotnik, just look at how they’ve started.A fair few posters here are now cottoning on to Sheehan's limitations and the effect this is having on our playing style.
A team dances to the tune of the Manager, plays in the style of his character.
Our play is boring, pedestrian, predictable, uninspiring, Vanilla. It's the play of a simple #2, a manager's assistant.
From what I can tell there's clearly a theme amongst our online fans, a common thread with those that blindly support Sheehan - their posts are typically uninspiring, utterly predictable, drab. Vanilla Sheeple.
Sheehan's Sheeple.
Some of the games under Sheehan last season definitely were boring. Think back , away games at Preston and Watford were dire, as were home games against Derby ,and when we rolled over against Burnley without laying a glove on them. To say everything has been good since he took over is well wide of the mark. He's done a good job points wise, but his style of football so far has been very hit and miss. Our play wasn’t boring under Sheehan last season, not possession based per se but it wasn’t unentertaining to watch in my opinion. I was the first to bring up our poor XG the other day, we are struggling to create but like some other posters have said, there are lots of new players and we have a lot of room to improve. Let’s give this relatively new manager and his coaches the time to build something.
Fair play I admire your dedication to winding people up on a football forum, even if it is a little odd.A fair few posters here are now cottoning on to Sheehan's limitations and the effect this is having on our playing style.

When he came in last season the most important thing was to get points on the board asap. It was more substance over style. He achieved that rather effortlessly. Some of the games under Sheehan last season definitely were boring. I'm in the same camp as you. I actually enjoy watching us play, again. Our play wasn’t boring under Sheehan last season, not possession based per se but it wasn’t unentertaining to watch in my opinion. He doesn’t post after a win, goes missing.Fair play I admire your dedication to winding people up on a football forum, even if it is a little odd.
I notice you've changed your narrative. This team last season Sheehan was firmly head of the quorum.
