Not sure if you are right regarding cup games being included in the season ticket. I can't remember any season when it happened, and what about the percentage a visiting team takes from the official attendance.

FA Cup ties see both teams taking 40/45% each with the remainder going to the FA, and roughly the same applies to games in the League Cup.
Also, havn't the visiting team to be given their permission to lower prices - kids for a quid etc.
We always had vouchers for the cup games.

This is going back years mind. Not at this stadium.

There were definitely vouchers A, B, C etc in the season ticket book behind vouchers 1-23. Can't remember for certain whether they gave you free entry or you just had to exchange them in the the club shop for 'first refusal' on cup tickets.
As I recall you just handed them in at the ground. Never paid extra for the cup games. Years ago though (as I said).

The vouchers were used for you to reserve your cup ticket. There are lots of clubs who had season tickets that included cup matches, but ours never did that I can honestly recall?

Main thing here is to give new and squad players playing time
Not about the result only to play well enough to keep up the confidence for Brum

Just had an email stating tickets for Forest game now on general sale, i want to bring two friends who are not STH but still shows ST holders only when you try to buy..

Just had a conversation with very helpful young lady at the Ticket Office after a 20 minute queue, the email for General Sale should be out tomorrow not today.

She did sort out my issue for me and create an account for one of my friends so that i could buy tickets tomorrow.
I dream of 20 minute queues. Currently been waiting one hour and 34 minutes to get through...

Not expecting much from this game. Going to be weakened sides from both teams, so I'm expecting a scrappy, disjointed game and in all likelyhood their stiffs will be better than our stiffs. Hope I'm wrong.

I was going back longer than that. 1970s / 1980s (can’t remember when it finished so could have been some of 1990s ), there were vouchers at the back and you just used them on the day for your entrance.

A match would be, for example, voucher B and that was that. No extra cost.

It was good value. I know we used them for the Welsh Cup (which was quite a big deal in those days as it gave entrance to the Cup Winners Cup). Think we used them for both the FA cup / League Cup as well, but couldn’t swear to that. There were about 8 or 10 vouchers from memory. Most years we didn’t get near using anything like that…

I have been going since 1985 when I was 9 and I can never recall that happening. Money was far too tight for us to give away free cup games.

Pretty much this, but looking forward to see Idah and a few others get some decent minutes against decent opposition (even if they rotate a lot too).

It my 40 years watching the Swans it has never happened. The vouchers were for you to guarantee a cup ticket. Or Play-Off Ticket. Cup matches were not free or ever included in my season tickets.
