didn’t see the full game last night, watched the extended highlights. The amount of quality chances that Forest had was frightening, they should have buried us in truth. What happens when you don’t take your chances. We lost the ball far too many times in midfield areas though, albeit against PL opponents. We have to get Stamenic back soon, makes all the difference.

Bit difficult to lose 6-1 when the opposition only has 3 shots on target mind...

I respect that you're actually responding to posts tonight (and only logging in under the one username for once), but you're still shit at this trolling thing.
Forest were definately guilty of poor finishing (after they had scored 2) and had they been better they would have been out of sight, however they didn't finish well and we took advantage of that.

Not convinced Fisher would have been any help had they got those shots on target afterall he only made 1 (very good) save all night.

But having said that we did match them all over the pitch and fully deserved the win

Well we started off with arguably OUR second team bar 3 or 4 and then chucked the big guns on. The focus of the tv peeps was on it being Forests second team ironically our big guns outgunned theirs!
Not sure we can say that was our 2nd string.

Only Fisher, Samuels-Smith & Casey are bona fide 2nd String

Everyone else is in contention for a starting spot every week, so are 1st team yes some have only just arrived and not regulars as yet, however Benson, Idah for example have not been brought in as back ups, they will be fighting for a starting gig and will expect to start often.

What last night shows is that we have a strong squad and the quality is consistent, which is great as players know they have to perform to keep their place in the team.

Although I would be most happy for Josh Key to be 2nd team

I passed the time on a long and boring train journey today by reading the matchday thread on what I presume is Forest's premier supporters forum. OMG the entitlement was extraordinary! Haven't they spent most of the past 25 years in the second and third tiers? OK, so they have assembled an expensive squad, but still... With a few honourable exceptions who congratulated us on a deserved win (some, I suspect, ironically), they were utterly deluded about how big a team they are. So far from the Liverpool and West Ham supporters who applauded us off the pitch after we beat them. I hope the away supporters in the ground yesterday had more class.

Respect is due to @jackharris for going on there to (respectfully, with no wind ups) provide them with some context.

Having said that if you do have an hour or so to spare, it is actually amusing to read the thread, particularly the pages between around 20:45 and 22:00 last night!

They’ve always been entitled with a massive opinion of themselves. Take away a small handful of seasons under Clough and Taylor in the distant mists of time, and they have nothing to shout about, just like Derby.

They were the same in league one. Never liked them much.

It is interesting how some clubs are dysfunctional top to bottom (it has been us often!) but it does provide opportunities to take advantage.
Drum roll - come on down West Ham!!
If we could somehow make a cheeky bid to aquire young Casey on a permanent deal - the boy looks a VERY good prospect to me (even against Premier league strikers). At his age he looks tremendous - and honestly could be pushing Cabango soon IMO.
