Said that after the first game of the season, and some gave me pelters on here for it. Thought with the way pre season went and then the atrocious first day performance at Boro , that things weren't looking good.
I tried to be optimistic. But pre season was shocking. Many will say it doesnt matter. But it was not good signs. Sheehan is getting on my wick with players and how many left and came in. We have on paper best squad since relegation. Many will disagree. But last year go and have a look at what we had compared to now. Christie anyone? Let's not forget about a few duds in defense and more. For me Sheehan has exposed his lack of experience. Maybe this was a job to soon at this level. Might want to go into league one, and make his trade and work up. I for one don't want another dud or boring appointment. Go all out I say, or get an unknown internationally. Anything is better than this under Sheehan.

Stupid question I know but did the mood feel like his time was up across the ground and behind the scenes?
The ground was toxic. But then we’ve got a bit of an issue with people giving up lately. It doesn’t take much for the fans to get on their backs and we start emptying the ground on 80 mins if we’re losing. So that’s probably a good guide to the mood.

I think we’ve got players lacking in quality in the final third and another manager may not make a difference. Ronald, Cullen, Eom aren’t going to tear this league up whoever we have in charge. The team got progressively worse under the old regime and will take a few windows to fix (although we seem to have bought players like Widell who we don’t know how to use). I could be wrong of course.

We spent over £2 million allegedly on Widdel as a number10 and we were so desperate to sign him we even agreed to loan him back until the end of the season.

He is a skilful player with good close control and is positive in his running with the ball and always looking for a forward pass , HOWEVER our manager insists on playing him on the wing!! (Even though he doesn’t have much pace)

Why didn’t he put him at number 10 instead of bringing vanilla Cullen on at half time I’ll never know 😡
If we do get another manager I hope he is the type to have a number 10 ala Widell or even Stamenic. Yes Stamenic. He has played his best football up front and not the Fulton role. Put Eom there. Just anything. We have been missing this for while. Some reason Sheehan thinks Widell should be on the wing. Madness.

Aka we are 7 (SEVEN) points off relegation with only two spots to avoid.

You, like a lot of others, seem to not understand the concept that you can be less than impressed with the way we're playing, yet at the same time not in the slightest bit worried about our Championship status. That's where I am on it, and chucking xG stats at me isn't going to change that.

You shouldn't be worried either - given you think we've got the players to be top 6.

Take a chill pill.
What's your justification for Sheehan? Without blaming the players (which are better than last season yet find themselves 8 places lower to where they ended up)

Giving up! We were 4-1 down at home with the worst display for years! That’s why many walked out. The rest stayed to see the stick that Sheehan was going to get.

We have a far better squad than our current position.

Maybe I'm niave... But I really do think Eom can make a difference. He has shown that with his first touch. He can cut in and shoot and put himself about. Yes bits are lacking. But coached right, same as Ronald and we can see better. I hope the people in charge took note with the toxic environment, as it won't get easy with Bristol City away. To me today was a classic example of the team losing faith in tactics. They might still like Sheehan but they look clueless. Also O Dea turned up with so much promise as an assistant. He seems to of contributed to this down fall.

Did many fans chant at him as many said? At end of the game?

It's difficult, North Hill feels strongly that we are a weak squad and he is in his right like all of us to have different opinions. But I'm in the camp, irrelevant of position, we are far superior in quality.

Of course we are.

I'm not stating we're world beaters but you're telling me that the3 shots on target a game (if we're lucky) is par for the course with this squad?

He’s not the answer. He’s had his chance. It’s abysmal and these players could and probably will look better under different leadership. We know we haven’t got a squad of World beaters, but there is something missing. I would have loved to have Sheehan the manager we had from Febuary 22nd last season, that’s what I was hoping. I know we had Lewis OB last season when the upturn began after Williams left, but I was hoping for something a tad better than what we are being served.

Yes. Towards the end of the game “we want Sheehan out” loud and repeated.
North bank gave him loads because the organisation was crap and the players hadn’t a clue what they were supposed to do. I don’t believe that anybody was booing the players - but that is my feeling.

I won't start an O Brian debate. As he did help us but this team we have now are far better than what we have had for many years. Galbraith can be something special. Stamenic looks class when being more attacking. VP is great when given the service. If I want to be picky then of course Key is the weak link. Could he do better with a different coach? Who knows. But we need to strengthen that position in January. What is really going to anger me if Sheehan stays is, how does the club see us getting better? So the excuse we have had a lot of games? And not enough time on training? Same goes for the rest of the league. And we have a lot of quality international players. No excuses. It's just delaying things. He won't suddenly change things. He will be gone by Xmas if he stays over international break.
