Jay looked for the back / sideways pass first before he took his shot. Your in acres of space just outside the box and your first instinct is to look to do a pass. Even the comms said that. Bless him.

Legend. Right Doc. I like him. Dont know why he gets so much stick

Vip looks shattered i can't see him starting Sunday same with Stamenic and Tymon aswell.

Yalcoue was excellent he deserves another start .
Defo Tymon and Stamenic will start. We can't drop Tymon who is our best player for assists. Franco could be rested? But you got to go with Widell and Yalcouye somehow.

I have never seen one given though. And it happens every game multiple times. Vigouroux does it all the time (takes longer than he should).

If that had led to a goal it would have been a travesty.
And there was a player standing in front of him as he was trying to get rid of it. I'm fairly sure we got penalised for our player (Widell?) doing the same in the first half but this clown of a ref decides to award a corner instead at that point in the game. Ridiculous inconsistency.

Yep. I mentioned that in a later post.

Although I’m always unsure of the rules on players doing that. Obvs. Can’t for a goal kick but this wasn’t one.

JAYSUS CHRIST! I don’t believe it. The Fulltonne of match winner, right there in all his resurrected glory. Matos is some kind of sorcerer.

Still wobbly in both boxes when the heat is on, but by god we give it full beans for 90+ minutes. What a turnaround.

The Vig nonsense was ridiculous. They’d wasted loads of time over throw ins when it was 0-0 and fouled us all over the shop all day and he gets pulled up and yellow? Nonsense, but a good lesson for him.

Edit, was it Fulton got yellow? I’m confused as well as wellied (to get rid of the hangover).

Cracking result!
Great energy by the boys!
Felt Matos got his subs spot on.
Not sure how he picks the next line up as everyone is putting their hand up to be selected.
Yalcoua and Widdel looked great
Thought Bobby Wales also played a nice reverse pass and put himself a little in Matos mind.

I was there today and must have watched a different game to some on here.
Starting line up was a shambles, can’t go into a home game without a recognised striker on the pitch.

Agree totally with the comments regarding the effort levels but until we scored their keeper didn’t have a save to make, Vigroux on the other hand was our mom… let’s have a little perspective eh!!

Delighted with our recent results but apart from the closing down I don’t see a great improvement in our performances..,.uppa Swans👍
“Starting line up was a shambles, can’t go into a home game without a recognised striker on the pitch.”

The best game we’ve ever played (IMO) was without a recognised striker on the pitch.

I hope we can keep Yalcouyé through the second half of the season. He was full of energy and running today and I was a little surprised to see him get subbed off.
He'd just carried a ball a long way and looked absolutely shattered, which he was entitled to be after the energy he'd put in to that point.
Correct substitution and great that Matos could see it straight away.

Yes, but he does that every single game. As do most keepers towards the end of the match.
Yes he does which we comment about most matches.
Today the 3 of us were screaming at the TV, he must have been able to hear us.
He pushes to the limit most games, today He got caught out and could have cost us two points.
Hopefully he learns from it.

The fact that Matos is looking like a decent appointment is killing him.
Indeed. I was critical of the risk of appointing him at the time and I stand by that view.
However, I was not present at his interview and I'm delighted that the risk looks like a masterstroke. I was converted very quickly by what I saw.

Surely Stamenic must be nearing 5 yellows by now. If he’s on 4 then he has to play against Milwall and ‘unfortunately’ pick up another to miss the cup tie!

Millwall v Swansea City
