I have represented my country 🎯
But what difference does that make to your analysis, over anyone else on here.

Congratulations though, that must have been a proud moment for you and your family. I had tears in my eyes when my 7 year old grandson scored a hatrick on the liberty pitch in a 5 a side tournament 🥹

When you start agreeing with the local town idiot in Nottinghill - ala lolla... What ever the name then we have to worry 🤣🤣... Look if you feel we are vanilla then that's your right, joking aside. But I don't see it, I see a team who can be really exciting when we are on it. Yes we can improve in areas. Maybe I'm more optimistic? I don't look at our results and position as a suprise. If anything we should be higher, as we let things go in Hull and other matches. We not getting ahead of myself, we may lose the next 2 matches. But you see vanilla, I see choc chip. A bit of everything and tastes that excite the taste buds 🤣🤣😛😛
The beauty of opinions eh. All good.

I had to give myself a bit of a reality check yesterday. Went into the game expecting a win, saw an hour of football expecting us to win, only to drop two points to a sucker punch. To make matters worse, McBurnie scored and Cardiff equalised at the same time as Hull did. However on reflection, we’re a team with quite a few new faces, and the international break hasn’t done us any favours in terms of being able to knit things together. Sheehan’s PPG ratio was already very good, if he doesn’t improve this over the next few months then there can be cause for some complaint. But for now, a bit more patience is needed.

Let's be honest, Hull will be feeling a little aggrieved that they only came away with a point yesterday.
It's hard to see that given that they equalised in the 97th minute but I believe you are spot on with what you say.

Going on the whole picture since the season started, we haven't been great but we sit in a very healthy league position and progressed in the cup with a big test coming on Wednesday.
I don't think we can expect us to be playing free flowing attacking football that regular this season but we will pick up points to keep us competitive this season. Sheehan clearly sets his teams out with a lot of work done about the opposition and sets out around that.
We are a workman like team with a sprinkle of creative players who are not consistent enough to make us a solid play off team.

There is always that angle too, we have been clinical which I think we missed at times last season. All in all we’re in a pretty decent place and for the most part we have a solid defence to build from.
One feature I really like about the team now is the willingness of the centre backs, when in possession in their own half, to make quick forward passes of 15 to 20 yards to midfielders, usually Galbraith or Yalcoure, who are them willing to turn with the ball and move forward quickly to start an attack.
Contrast that with the Martin and Williams teams, where it was pass sideways, Cabango to Darling, pass sideways, Darling to Cabango, pass sideways to Grimes, pass back to Vig, hoof into touch, rinse and repeat.

Without sounding like Roy Keane.. Vig saving worldy saves, was great and saved us - but that's his job.. Sorry to sound black and white... And yes he is fab, but we have done really well so far this season limiting teams shots on goal. Yesterday was off day. International break didn't help. I am ranting as I feel strong on this with Sheehan. 2 weeks ago we was all praising Sheehan and what the club has done. Fast forward and levels drop we start turning well some people....even people saying it was like Martin ball and Williams... If your not all in on his appointment, you will never be. If you are then you are...

Results so far this season have been fine, probably better than most of us expected. But are we exciting or even for the most part entertaining? Not really. As much derision as he piles upon himself , Nottinghilllalolla hit the nail on the head when he described us as “vanilla”.
.
Ecb is right, for the most part we ain't exciting nor entertaining.

What proper jacks crave is: Winning effectively, efficiently and entertainingly with an innovative leading edge brand, raising the bar and punching well beyond our means.

A few of us here were inculcated in the Swansea way of playing (through the Academy) - it was always the above Way, where possession of the ball was sacrosanct. Most clubs now adopt that same way through their Academy young guns, and for the most part discard it in the latter stages where big, physical athletes prevail, and the tekkers lads are binned.

We were different - we recognised the right way of playing can work through the academy and on to the men's game - the lower divisions to the highest level - it set us apart in a magical way.

WE proper jacks therefore crave the art of the possible once more - the bar is set high - and managers like Sheeezy will be measured against that bar, always.

That's not going to happen, we are going down the route of pragmatic football similar to the John Hollins regime.

Organised and hard to beat and get the points on the board. I get it, is it the way I would like it to be......no.
I'm hoping it's a case of building a solid foundation in readiness for the next stage.

The football under Sheehan isn't terrible but I'm still waiting for that bit of creativity but we will move along as the season moves on and will pick up points without looking over our shoulder.

Missed Stemenic even before a ball was kicked. We don't have the physicality to match the skill of the middle 4 options.

Bringing Cullen and Eom was just inviting more trouble.

Watching Portsmouth nullify Southampton earlier simply by closing and pressing against a flair team and we will have this issue.

That's because we are playing to Sheeezy's tune.

Most teams play to the character of the manager - Sheeeezy is a safe pair of hands, a bit drab, a bit simple, a bit very obvious, a bit too easy to play poker against (I'm being kind). He's a #2, in so many ways 😉

Sheeezy course-corrected the MartinsWillyballsup Maelstrom - it doesn't entitle him to a job for life, most esp when The Next Level is upon us.

WE now deserve a Next Level manager to re-calibrate and reset back onto our elevated course........

Not sure. Looking at the match as it actually played out, definitely they can say they should have scored a few more, but if they’d taken one of those chances and equalised earlier, I think it might have actually helped us, and the outcome could have gone either way.
