I knew i liked that man, and very true.
Nope. I wouldn't limit it to football either. Is there a bigger cunt in football than Joey Barton?
I knew i liked that man, and very true
He's just a very average manager who talks a good game but delivers very little, even when he has some of the worlds greatest players at his disposal. Luckily for him his bull**it seems to convince a lot of teams to take him on.I'm sure Joey knows there's a very obvious answer to his question, although his fraudulence was spotted quickly enough.
He's not wrong about Roberto's ability to fail upwards though. Although I think it's generally believed he got the Portugal job because he would be a yes man and not try to drop the sainted Cristiano, unlike the last guy.
Wouldn't catch me dead expressing a liking to the vile, 'says it as it is', pig that is Joey Barton. If a pretty cold take on Roberto Martinez is enough for him to win you over, I'd suggest you probably sort your priorities outI knew i liked that man, and very true.
The younger Roberto just starting out was like a breath of fresh air until he became full of his own self importance.RMs better than the other RM in my view. Both self publicising bullshit merchants that can’t get teams to defend and end up in jobs they shouldn’t. Both talk crap to fool teams supporters in a need to be loved. One did genuinely transform his cloob for the better, the other hobbled it.
I had the privilege of watching a Swansea training session back in the day. Basically, Roberto Martínez just stood there with his arms folded the whole time, not saying a word while Graeme Jones put the players through their paces. There were two different five-a-side teams, all playing fast, fluid, two-touch football. The speed at which the ball was being knocked around was absolutely incredible, with Jones barking out instructions and stopping play to correct errors when needed. Martínez may as well not have been there.
Ancelotti and Paul Clement is another example.A lot of managers do this.
If you read Fergie's autobiog, he says he never really became a proper manager and felt in control until he stopped doing his own sessions and started delegating the sessions to his assistants.
Klopp never put on many sessions at Liverpool. He'd stand back and observe, watch the players body language, get a feel for who was sharp and who wasn't.
Not comparing Martinez to either of those you understand, but this idea that if a manager is not hands on then he's not doing his job, it is incorrect.
I'd say hands on managers are in the minority these days.Ancelotti and Paul Clement is another example.
Yanks should of sacked Clement earlier then we might have stayed upAncelotti and Paul Clement is another example.
