Jacket said:As someone who hasn't fallen down the rabbit hole of believing in every conspiracy theory going, and who isn't self employed and likely to lose out financially to what seems like the phasing out of cash, having a cardless policy would be far more of a pain in the arse for me than a cashless one, I have to be honest. I don't always carry cash, but I always carry a phone, well I have to if I want to get into the stadium don't I.
At the end of the day, it reduces the likelihood of robberies and people having their hands in the tills, it saves money for the banks, it saves money for the government from having to print less cash and create less coins and that's before we get to the main reason, the additional revenue they'd make from reducing the amount of services paid for that don't go through the books. These are the reasons it's being pushed on us not some batshit crazy conspiracies. And as much as it pains me to help out the banks and the government, it's bloody well handy, and not getting triggered by it helps me not to get a choronary. Although if you believe twitter, there is no such thing as heart attacks being caused by unhealthy lifestyles and high blood pressure, it's all down to the vaccines innit!
Yeah but apart from all that sense, what about people that still want to use cash. Think of the people mun
