Shame that we now could lose both of them.Yep, I fully confess I didn't rate either player up until this season but as a pair they seem to be getting better and better all the time, it just seems to have clicked. Long may it continue.
They more they churn out performances like this, the greater the chance of them moving on. There must be forty clubs able to offer a bigger wedge that what we can.Shame that we now could lose both of them.
They are both top level in this league
If they want to walk away, they will. If they have decided it's time for a change there is nothing that the management can do about it. If you bribe a man to stay who has decided he wants to go, you don't get what you paid for, just an unhappy guy trapped by money. Been there, done that, it doesn't work.We have the best centre back pairing in the Championship and the useless, incompetent, short sighted yanks are going to let them both walk away for nothing.
Beyond depressing.
I'm not quite sure they're the best in the entire league, but there is no question they're the most dramatically improved. Under Williams and Duff last season, and the previous two years under Martin, they looked really shonky most of the time, and there was very little evidence to suggest they'd become what they have this season. We have the best centre back pairing in the Championship and the useless, incompetent, short sighted yanks are going to let them both walk away for nothing.
Beyond depressing.
Neither of them strike me as players who desperately want to move - both are showing an incredible commitment to the shirt at the moment. If they want to walk away, they will. If they have decided it's time for a change there is nothing that the management can do about it. If you bribe a man to stay who has decided he wants to go, you don't get what you paid for, just an unhappy guy trapped by money. Been there, done that, it doesn't work.
He was phenomenal alongside Guehi. But then he was only expected to defend, which seems to be the case again. It’s so obvious that he’s not a footballing CB that I wonder sometimes if there’s anything between Russel Martin’s ears.Cabango has always been a good centre back when asked to play the old centre back way. When he has a partner he is comfortable with he thrives. That seems to be the case now. When he was paired with the young Guehi under Cooper I remember One pundit claiming then they were the best centre back pairing in the league. It's no coincidence in my mind.
Wrexham could go for the pair of them. Especially if they go up.
