Does Anyone Really See An Improvement?

Williams has been our limiting factor for yonks. Holding back all the riches of latent young talent.

And today without Matty’s protective blanket, he’s been found out. Massively.

It really is that simple.

Get tae fack out, Willy

We are in a perfect storm, player leaves who has dictated the style of play for the the last several years and we’re left with a manager who has no idea of what to do.
Factor in a squad of players who are bang average and we are deep deep excretia.
Add in a chairman who's asleep at the wheel...

BINGO ⬇️

Yeah, Daz, I do.

The squad won’t improve, so they need to be rigorously and properly organised. Coco Williams isn’t up to doing it. In terms of what he is control of, no one has improved since he shambled into town. It’s all got worse including almost every player he’s come near.

I wish we could send the ridiculous Coleman with him.

It’s not looking good tbh. Looking at the form guide, Swansea are the worst performing team over the last 4 games, second worse over the last 6 and 22 or 21st over 8 and 10 games.
Luckily, Luton and Derby are also on a terrible run.

An Allardyce type manager (not that I’m advocating he take over) will tighten the defence up, but in terms of goal threat and scoring it’s pretty bleak.

The 1st half we were in a defensive shape 5 at the back and two sitters.. but Christie, Cabango and Delcroix have never played with each other before as a 3.. Fulton and Franco had never played as a 2.. just for starters, Key and Tymon are in terrible form.. Cullen has signed a new contract, so he's back to his usual League Two self.. Ronald leaves the ball behind him when he's running and Bianchini was trying to bring balls down from outer space as some sort of roaming forward

Klopp would struggle to get a tune out of this lot. That said, Williams is a dead man walking at this point. We are so screwed.
He's not helping himself, his subs rarely change an outcome.. it's more of the same.. now he's using the championship is so strong and we can't compete.. millions he's spent, millions, not thousands, millions

I didn’t manage to catch the game yesterday, what was the atmosphere like? I can’t persuade the wife to watch it anymore, especially with the evening kick-offs here. I read about the boos at full-time. I look forward to our excuses Monday evening and who we were close to bringing in.

There is always hope. There are far too many games left to be resigned to any particular fate just yet.
We will all remember different times when all seemed lost.
I recall how important we, the crowd, were when we pulled off the great escape in 2003. I hope beyond hope that we as a fan base can find that spirit again but I fear something fundamental has change since then.
We have more supporters now for a start. People that took an interest when we moved stadium.
Back in 2005 we were on the up. Attendances doubled. Whether that was the stadium or the success, who can say.
This is the first time we have been anywhere near that (low) a level of attendance. Are we losing those supporters?
Are we going to back to 5k crowds + or - 3k depending.
5k in the vetch could generate quite an atmosphere. 5k rattling around in our stadium...shudder.
Its a critical time.

Trying to find any positives from yesterday in the cold light of day, and failing. If Coleman was going to sack Williams, he would have done it by now. With time running out to get players with the right qualities to pull us out of this hole, it's looking bleak at best. Basically, we are screwed.

Nah, Coleman cannot pull the trigger now whilst in the arse end of the transfer window. It becomes a different story once things are over the line and if we lose tamely against the Bristol mob.

Fair, he should pull the trigger on Tuesday then, I wouldn't even give this clown the Bristol City game, pay him off and start the process...
