Let's face it, it's been a downward spiral since Brentford beat us in the playoff final. If only we'd got lucky that day.

Personally I think we were slowly losing our way before then.

Although I would agree that massive damage was done in the first 6 months of the new ownership in reality. Appointing Guidolin permanently, sacking him and appointing Bradley and not signing Joey all played a part in where we are now.

Ultimately, by the time we were throwing ridiculous money at A.Ayew and Bony in that final PL transfer window, we were screwed. And we probably knew it.

We were certainly screwed after doing that!

Hate to say it, but the seeds for our downfall were probably planted the day we got promoted. Morgan was even on about the money that day.

If not, then certainly when we stayed up and won the cup. The whole Board except HC wanted the money after that. Greed is at the root of what happened to us.
