General Election ...

Torsten is an excellent individual, perfect for working as an MP in Westminster. He is very clever and knows his financials. One big criticism is that he has no connection to Swansea.
My take is I'd rather have someone in place that knows what they are doing over someone purely based on the fact they are "one of us".

It is a small dilemma. I agree with your point. If, however, there was someone who was as capable with similar specialties and from the area then they should be selected. I have no doubt that hr will serve the area well if elected. He could be a good voice in helping the barrage get to its next stage.

Farage ran and hid this week from his interview with Nick Robinson. He’ll have big problems if people start asking him difficult questions about anything other than immigration. His policies on the economy make Liz Truss look sensible.
He’s claiming to be the leader of the opposition to Labour. He isn’t. He’s the leader of a party that has never won a seat in a general election.
He’s an absolute fraud always has been and always will be, he says things people want to hear, but he hasn’t any substance behind him to say how he’s going implement his words.

I know Dai and I can’t lie I’m very surprised.
I don't know him and had a read of his page on the Reform website: https://www.reformparty.uk/neath-and-swansea-east-constituency.

He talks about spending 8 years fighting for the safety of a resident's group against contamination and all the problems with the system he has witnessed during that. I can believe that with no problem, but I'm not sure how he thinks Reform are the answer? It's like a trailer park living Yank thinking that the multi-millionaire-born-with-a-silver-spoon-in-his-mouth Trump actually cares about them and is really going to 'drain the swamp'.

That was my original thought when I read the article. I'm now of the option that we don't have anyone local that is capable of the job 🤷🏻‍♂️

Tidy nice link for the potential mps standing, Swansea West I will vote for Patrick Benham-Crosswell Reform, don't even know who he is, but I don't know who Torsten Bell is either the Labour candidate, in fact looking at the list, I don't recognise any names.,
The thing is, Swansea City Council get a fair bit of stick for the state on Swansea, are you saying you’d want one of them to step up? I’m all in favour of promoting local people, but they have to have something about them. I’m not saying Bell has that quality, I’m just making the point we should be aiming to get the best person for the job.

I wish we had Torsten Bell parachuted in her instead of the usual ex councillor/school governor types they put up against Total C*** Davies. Bell is a clever man and he'll try hard to win over the voters in Swansea I would imagine.

Jo Stephens embarrassing herself here:

Labour have even less to offer Wales than the Tories (who have at least promised electrification of the North Wales line - not that they can be trusted given that they went back on May's promise to electrify to Swansea). Apparently HS2 isn't happening...

Labour really is completely contemptuous of the Welsh voters. Can't blame them to be honest.

Only the party of Wales care about Wales.

It’s just a shame so many labour voters are stuck in their ways.

Vote tactically in every constituency to feck up the Tories. I'll be voting Labour in North Herefordshire, although if Bungalow Bill Wiggin loses his seat, it truly will be an extinction event for the Tory scum.

That clip isn't a good look. It's like they are sticking their fingers in their ears and shouting until the person talking stops, talking.

They do say ignorance is bliss.

They know they can say and do as they like, they’ll always be in government in Wales, unless people actually vote for the best party.

Sad yet very true.

I've gone past caring what happens in Cardiff.
