• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

by Luke, at half time yesterday. A proper watershed, in many many ways.

Luke outsmarting, outmanoeuvring and outperforming Martin's Prem league players on Prem league money was all channelled and delivered through his captain Grimesy.

The way in which we came alive, turned the game on it's head and utterly flummoxed Martin to the point he was entirely bereft of any semblance of response was highly encouraging.

And the way Grimes ran the show with energy, belief and conviction will no doubt be missed by those that don't get the game. Grimes controlled, orchestrated and drove us into the ascendancy with some sublime positioning, precision passing with progressive purpose.

As per Sir Clive Woodward's TCUP ((think clearly under pressure), which is how they got over the line in 2003), Grimesy does this with aplomb. As Martin said: ' the bravest player he has ever known'. Which is why Grimes is our captain, a clever, calm, clear thinker who every single player looks up to. The ultimate professional, to boot.

Those that get it, know.

Those that don't get it, slag him off. They will never get it, cos they ain't got it. It's a football intelligence thing.

Half time yesterday was seismic transformational change. With Luke and Grimes at the vanguard.

5 years he's been here, and we're still here.. said it at the time and will keep banging that drum, the kid hasn't got it, just like I pointed out 5 at the back exploits our weaknesses years ago.. if you're comfortable with midtable championship finishes he's your man.. and we've got him for 3 more years on millions.. with his mate Fulton.. we won't get promoted with him in the team, trust me, I've watched about 5000 football games in 10 years.. I've watched more games than the actual players.. 5 years and he's been doing the same sh*t earning way above his pay grade.. millions he's creamed off us in 5 years and more millions he's going to earn because the yanks are a bit dull.. just can't see the obvious.. but they're talking about infrastructure, process, togetherness, team spirit, data all these buzz words, great if it's actually transferred on the pitch.. in the last 3 years have you genuinely seen this happen.. any inkling of team spirit, we've got so deluded.. we can't pass 5 yards during a game.. it's a circus show.. go and listen to the interviews before the game and look how stupid they sound after that performance..
