When a dislike is taken to a player it doesn't matter how he plays after that he'll never get any praise. He played well last night.
Badlands said:He was prominent against Bristol but was caught is possession far to often and he slows everything down.
I think it says a lot about the player when his performance last night meets with rave reviews ... decent to good.

If these stats are decent to good, then I hope all our midfielders can reach that high bar:

What's sadly lacking from those stats is:
Passes to the opposition, or no-one in particular
Number of times caught in possession
Stats, eh?

Actually if he's completed 71 of 87 passes then it does kind of show how many 'passes to the opposition, or no-one in particular', although it doesn't show if those incomplete passes were his fault or the receiving player. 81% completion rate seems decent to me from that many attempts.
Not sure how many times he was caught in possession, but winning possession 15 times is a hell of a stat and probably outnumbers the other comfortably.
He doesn't always play well clearly, but I find it bizarre anyone can watch him play and hope he leaves the club. We're almost certainly a worse team without him in it right now.

Actually, I think 81% completion for a defensive midfielder who's supposed to be the player who makes us tick is not great.
He was caught in possession against Stoke and it resulted in a goal. It also happened last night but BC weren't good enough to take advantage.
Don't get me wrong, he was better last night but he's lacking in certain facets of his game. And MOTM was a bit of a joke. I'd have given it to Cooper, or Manning, or even Laird.
