• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Haven’t been able to bring myself to discuss Saturday’s events or look at the highlights.

Just did, thought I’d be calmer now but the way we conceded those goals were abhorrent and the lack of guts and desire to make any challenge worries the most. The fourth goal summed up by Lyle Taylor just skipping past two of our players on the byline. Cabango missing out on at least two challenges leading to goals, Manning too and the less said about Hamer the better.

The winner of shithouse of the day however goes to Matt Grimes for some truly pathetic bottling of tackles when one was on. I was irritated on the day by his performance but wow it looks even worse on replay. How can you just decide to let a player run and slowly track him, in particular on goal number one?

This is our captain, a captain we have just signed to a new contract after a reasonable start to the season. Since he signed it, he has been atrocious and encapsulated everything that was so bad Saturday.

Hoping for better days but he needs time out, because we need more passion and energy from midfield, such as Downes despite him being so desperate for a red card on the weekend.

Oh no you have done it now A4J, AC will be on shortly saying that his grimsey is the second coming and it was downses fault.

 Have you seen the first and fourth goals for his attempts at tracking the player? It’s unbelievable mate and unforgivable

It was his best game for a while I thought, and that was still piss poor. Turns like a crab these days

Nope and I don't want to wind myself up seeing them.

I saw enough at boro to realise that downes is twice the player that grjmesy is.

Absolutely, but I guess we haven’t got shit in our eyes.

Difference between Grimes and Downes is that one will be in the Premier League within three years. And it won’t be Matt of Exeter unless we go up

It's not going to be, because we've tied down our very own Swansea metronome Matt pad his stats up with simple 5 yard passes Grimes (and he even f*cks that up).. f*ck knows how he's been elevated to this cult like status around the club, it's one of the strangest things that's happened down here.. best midfielder in the Championship they all lavish him with, can't take a set piece, doesn't assist or score goals, rarely plays the ball forward (f*cks up the majority).. he did used to intercept the odd ball and make an easy tackle, but the league has clearly figured out his cheating on the pitch
