Has he gone? Or if not when will it happen?

As I’ve previously said I have been told by an impeccable source that Williams comments were very much tongue in cheek.
Perhaps it wasn’t a good idea seeing as theres so many fuckwits in our fanbase though.

The "they won't want me after that" comment or whatever it was, I agree. Clearly a joke and I don't see an issue with that.

However, the comment about the speculation creating uncertainty with the players I thought was strange because irrespective of whether he thinks it contributed to the Pompey result, he did essentially admit that there has been some uncertainty. That uncertainty wouldn't exist if he had quashed the rumours, whether publicly or privately with the players. He also had the opportunity to shut it down at that point and he didn't. He could have said "there is no uncertainty in the group. They all know I am committed to the job at hand" or whatever.

This on the back of the comments he made after the Luton game - "for the time being" and "they can ring my agent".

He's had two chances to say he won't be going to West Brom and has failed to do it on both occasions, instead tiptoeing around it. Whatever the reasons for it, I don't think it is a good look from a manager who has done nothing more than a reasonable job in his time here.

On the other hand he's not taken the link with the job anywhere near as serious as some of our fans and didn't feel the need to have to spell it out that he's not interested in leaving.

In which case he's still been naive.

I know it's the fashion for some to be critical of our support, call our fans derogatory names, etc. but we do have a generally well engaged fanbase who support the club passionately in fairly big numbers. Not every club has that. Williams has enjoyed the upside of this but this is the unfortunate and natural downside.

We also have the fact that we have a significant amount of news coverage locally which I would argue is pretty rare for a club of our size and I wonder if he maybe has underestimated that too.

I can guarantee you that the majority of our supporters have no idea of the hysteria that has been whipped up on line by what Williams has said or didn't say.

You may be right, although it has been covered quite widely in more mainstream places like BBC, so maybe it will cut through, as they say. Its probably a bit more than kids chatting on X and us older heads talking on here.

His press conference at 2 is going to be interesting anyway!

The desperation by some online to have links with those ITK is always mildly amusing, especially when they back track at a rate of knots.

I can't see anything interesting coming from the press conference. The question will get asked and he'll answer it and the world will move on.

Many moons ago, someone broke the news that we were signing a left back called Lee Wallace and everyone was chuffed and loads declaring it was done and dusted and we're told by ITKs

Turned out it was bollocks and everyone was tamping and loads backtracked.

I would like to say it was me that started it all 😁
That's just a mis spelling of North Bank legend.....who the fuck fell for that ?

I really can't see a "big" Championship team like WBA wanting him. He may be 15th on a list of 15 possibles. His agent has probably got heavily involved. But, here's my issue(s)....you don't joke about stuff when you've just been hammered by the bottom placed team; he is not very good (the squad is not very good either) but his tactics etc etc leave a lot to be desired; you don't let the captain take the fucking team talk (at the least don't broadcast it). So, it would suggest the players don't believe in him, the fans mostly don't believe in him and, I reckon, the owners will not believe in him. I hope he's gone by July with a radical turnaround of our squad of has beens (Naughton, Allen etc), never beens (Grimes, Fulton etc) and never will be's (everyone we've bought these last 2 seasons bar Vig and Franco).

As I said, I thought it was a wind up. I’ve heard nothing. I’ve probably not taken it as seriously as I should have. Someone sent me a screenshot saying I was having conversations and that my agent was talking to them. Don’t waste your money (betting on it). Absolutely nothing in it. I thought it was absurd. I’ve not only been here one year. We’ve only just secured Ben Cabango. Cullen and Allen are in the national team. I’m sorry if I didn’t take it seriously enough, but I thought it was quite funny. I’m glad it’s over and I want to make Swansea as good as they can possibly be.

I was perhaps the last to know. I’m not on social media so I don’t have a big network. It’s all come as a bit of a shock. There’s been no contact whatsoever. So I'm not sure how it’s got to the level it got to with the bookmakers deciding I was halfway down the road.

I did the interview after the Portsmouth game and went over to the Jack Army, who sang to us. It was the best feeling ever because you feel the love in your worst moment. And it’s the worst moment because you feel so terribly guilty (about the result).

That moment summed up what we’re trying to do. We’re trying to be together with our fans. Show respect to them at all times. When they show it back it’s quite emotional. The combination of that and me being in the dark around the speculation about me leaving, it was quite emotional after the game.
