Has he gone? Or if not when will it happen?

Agree we could do without another change in manager and we are moving in the right direction with him, albeit at a snails pace.

The rumours yesterday by supposed ITKs are a red herring because I don't think most people would have begrudged him leaving. However, at the same time, I don't see how anyone could look at the way he dealt with the speculation (and I'm not talking about his comment that they wouldn't want him if they'd seen the Portsmouth game) and for it to inspire any confidence in him.

Even if the comments before today were just poorly thought out, it doesn't really do much to build any faith in his abilities, given the fact that most would agree that being good with words is a pretty key skill in any form of management.

I dare say you're right about most of the fanbase but at the same time I don't think it has done him any favours. He's obviously on relatively thin ice because when other managers have left for better jobs, there has been clamour to blame the owners, etc. I appreciate some of our owners are new but I haven't hear a single person point a finger at them when the opposite was true with Potter, Cooper and Russy...
I don’t believe Clasey believed all that bullshit Williams spouted today, he’s not an idiot.

Mind you, they do say that alcohol and getting older is a cruel mix…

Untenable in my opinion, I can't vote without signing up and there's zero chance of that.
No position is untenable if you have a contract and a thick skin. In any event win tomorrow and at Cardiff (or just at Cardiff) and he is fine, at least until the team downs tools again. Keep losing 4-0 to shite teams and nothing will save him. All football managers end in failure or leave before that. Nobody will give a shit about any of this if we play well for more than a game or two here and there, so that’s his challenge.

It really didn’t matter to some what he said today did it? A fair few painted themselves into a corner through the course of yesterday and now refuse to backtrack. Thankfully the wider fan base probably doesn’t give two tiny shits about this week’s series of non events. Williams is guilty of making a daft, flippant remark after a terrible performance in Portsmouth. Nothing else from what I can see. And for the avoidance of doubt, if he had left I wouldn’t have cared either way. He’s not the messiah by any stretch. But we could certainly do without yet another change in manager.
If in doubt, double down 🤣

Well he's not helping himself in saying he didn't know anything about it cause he doesn't do social media and his agent as been touting him to WBA all week and that's not agent acting off his own back, guaranteed he knew what was going on, truth is that they weren't interested in the first place and that's why he's coming out saying what he has today in my opinion, Coleman be mad to fall for and I'm sure he won't.

He can go now as far as I'm concerned and the sooner the better.

I believe what Williams said today above literally all the nonsense I’ve seen “written” about this through the week. And again, I’m no massive mark for Williams. If he’d buggered off to the West Midlands last night it would hardly have registered with me. I really don’t care what anyone thinks or says, this is a “crisis” almost entirely of our own fans’ making. Williams hasn’t helps things, I’ll give you that but I think that may be because he’s a bit dim. And if that turns out to be wrong over the next few days or weeks, I’ll happily come on here and say “yeah, got this one wrong”. It’s a lesson many could do with leaning.

He won't be fooling anyone about how he knew nothing of this and he thought it was all a wind up etc.

If the lads put in a very weak performance tomorrow and get thoroughly spanked I wouldn't be surprised if Coleman (who by many accounts in the rumour mill was pretty livid about how this whole thing has materialized and been handled) pulls the trigger.

Hopefully the fans will back the lads but equally I hope not to hear any "Williams's barmy army" chants.

If he does get the axe he has no one to blame except himself in my opinion

Oh aye it was never a crisis, whichever way it played out.

It would be easier to understand if it wasn’t so many grown men.
Seriously,fucking hell like. 😂

I can't believe he knew nothing of this weeks events, I know we live down in the darkest deepest South Wales, but ffs

First sport report on ITV Central news @ 6 pm

Luke Williams reported interest by WBA. mentioned to have ruled himself out.

He had no idea lol. He's not on social media ? Fine. You're telling me he knew nothing about it ? No players are on social media are they ? Fans haven't mentioned it ? Staff ? Utter backtrack. I find his attitude now to be close to smugly arrogant. I don't think we're in a crisis, never have. Yes, we're absolutely shit at times. He still is tactically inept and I would love to see him go due , moreso now, to his smug arrogance and forced laughter. I can live with July as I said earlier with 75% of our squad.

The chairman speaks.

“There has been some unhelpful speculation regarding our head coach, Luke Williams, and links to today’s opponents. I want to assure you that Luke remains fully committed to Swansea City. I know that his focus is on guiding our team to success, and we are united in our efforts to achieve our goals for the season.”

Well he would say that wouldn’t he? Definitely getting ready to sack him. Bridges burned etc.
