January Transfer Rumours

All looking very ominous... a lot to tie down this evening. Think we're going down this same old January window again difference being we are as weak as ever.
This would stand head and shoulders above any competition as the single worst January Transfer Window in the club's history. I'd stretch it to 'worst transfer window ever', but I'm sure we've had some other shockers in the 90s that somehow beat this

I always wonder at this stage - why would you submit an offer not knowing the asking price? It’s deadline day and you’re submitting offers that are getting turned down. Bizarre. Either pay the asking price or move on at this stage. Unless it’s a ‘see we did try’ tactic.

I think there is a fair bit of ‘see we did try’ tactics.

Could be a numbers game now...Coleman rattling through a players directory randomly putting in offers with no pre-engagement hoping for a taker

Every club knows that we’re desperate. Every club will be thinking, “if Swansea come calling milk them for all we can get, and more”.

If this goes the way in which it’s looking, there needs to be a huge inquest regarding the claims that we were prepared. We’ve been told that targets were identified early as a means of getting a head start, but the reality is that we’re only chasing players to replace the one we’ve already lost. That’s a far cry from getting ahead of the game. And before anyone reminds me about Magnus Magnusson (or whatever his name is, I’ve already forgotten), he’s not counted in my numbers for Jan-25.

Apparently we've now had a £1m bid rejected for an Orient midfielder.

He's absolutely shitting himself isn't he. Currently breathing heavily into a brown paper bag, no doubt about it.

It's the setting of expectations after every disastrous transfer window which I find more frustrating than our actual inability to sign a player.

If it does end up the way it is looking Coleman should step down as chairman and allow someone who actually knows what they are doing to run the club.

We signed a player and then loaned him out!

We have to assume that he’s first team ready, or at least I am on the back of what we allegedly paid for him. How was this deemed an acceptable idea? I’m trying to explain the logic to myself but I can’t string the words together.

It was acceptable if we had others guaranteed to come in now. They've put all their eggs in one basket with the Man City guy and it's gone very very wrong

Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the case of selling Grimes and replacing him with a lad can't play for us until next season.

It's like we have David Brent as our chairman.

Now I agree regards Andrew Coleman.

If it ends up as it's looking then he needs to step aside or others need to put in vote of no confidence.

Been working and just getting on line. Can’t be asked with going through all the posts, just wondered if anyone has actually signed?
