• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I thought this would be the reality.

It may even be an improvement and the new normal, in all honesty.

It's time for the commentators to get aggro now so they can't even do this, only joking.

The BBC has just announced that the programme will go ahead “without studio presentation or punditry”. Basically everyone has blown them off. What a disastrous day for a once great institution.

The TUC have just effectively called for the production guys to strike in support.

Very few industries as heavily unionised as TV these days.

Lineker and Bruno Fernandez should have an 'ear off' to see who wins.

The commentators refusing to work would help too. Most of them are freelance anyway not BBC exclusive. This me has a way to run yet.

I wouldn't go as far as to put this on them but anything to get Jonathan Pearce off the air is fine by me.

Oh I don’t know. I record it every week but rarely watch it. When I do, I just fast forward and watch the goals.
This could be an improvement for me 😉

Bumble Boris the Scum bag has caused this in putting his butty in charge of the Beeb, the corrupt, fraudulent, lying twat that he is.
How the fuk did the Contry allow this twat to lead the Country, its incredible.

No commentary on games and players to support Lineker is the rumour.

ps
some teams request not to be shown ...maybe just a rumour.

The last time I watched MOTD :
- The Swans were on it
- Most of the commentators boiled my piss
- I fast-forwarded through the punditry and post-match interviews.

I'll probably watch tonight's. Just to see, like.

I feel a bit cross with myself for writing that. It's irrelevant.

Lineker's stance is admirable. My hope is that a way can be found for both the BBC to have him back and for him to continue tweeting. References to 1930s Germany are always going to cause a stink. He could've, as ECB has sort of said, scored the same point without veering this close to the edge.
