We’re are mid table, a little flurry of wins and we’re in playoffs territory.

Maybe it’s because I watched us when we down the bottom and am not so entitled.

My guess is this is a lot to do with a new breed of fan.
my guess is the new breed of fan don't spend that much time on here an that the average age is probably 50 and most saw us when we down the bottom so therefore most of us are not so entitled. I feared for today because of recent events and though I had hope with the team selection the turgid atrocity we witnessed was because of Luke's tactics and lack of motivation. He will blame everyone else as did Martin

Owners were poor, players are poor, manager is utter dogshit.

We’ve changed the owners, we need some change on the pitch and we can’t change enough players so the useless whang needs to be punted pdq. No matter how bad things are, he is making things worse.

No mate I’ve been going since 1978 it’s got to a point where going to watch is a chore. Never did they not play for the shirt even when we were fighting to stay in the league and then we had really really poor players

5 wins and 2 draws from 7 league games under Gary Rowett for Oxford United.

Not bad what a new manager who knows what their doing does for you.

No don't be daft. All the fans were blaming the squad quality before and the manager was absolutely fine.

Realistic fans you mean, playoffs :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

And I've watched us since Harry Gregg's days, new breed indeed!

I think a lot of us here started following us when we were down the bottom.
We all saw firsthand what was required to make a success out of a football club, the magic formula that would lift our spirits and the club itself, Willy Wonka’s pop if you may.
We’re not drinking that anymore.
The players body language says it all.

Okay. I’ve taken on board what you’ve all said and as it’s becoming clear I was wrong. I ask you to simply come back to me with what we should do in terms of actions.

Replace Williams, then what?

Not just a change of personnel but what direction do we take?

We tried being pragmatic with Duff and it was a disaster.

It’s easy to sack him and breathe a sigh of relief if that’s what you want. But what happens then?

Do we inject funds straight away? Do we completely change our philosophy? Do we go for youth or experience? Do we go for someone who is a scrapper? Do we employ someone to be a populist short term choice? But we potential dangers.

We are not languishing at the bottom, things are not great. Granted. But we fuck this up, it’s league 1.

Be careful what you wish for.

I think I share the same view as you.
I’ve never called out players or managers online, my rage is directed at years of suicidal and lazy recruitment.
I’ve posted online before about not knowing a single person that wanted rid of Martin and that is 100% true, what’s also true is that most of those, including me now think Luke’s time is up.
I really enjoyed the first 8/9 league games and was looking forward to the January window. Something has changed though, as mentioned previously, the players body language gives it away.
3 years ago we had the goal contributions of Piroe, Ntcham, Pato, Obafemi and Manning.
I don’t think there’s a manager out there who’ll be able to squeeze that out of our current lot.
I don’t know rockinj, the cows have come home to roost.

His in game substitutions are woeful and very rarely impact us favourably

I'm no fan of Williams but to be fair to him the players on the bench are usually considerably worse than the players on the pitch who themselves are pretty shit.

Whilst that's mostly true, his substitutions are always predictable and like for like.

He never changes the formation (like playing 2 up front if we're chasing a goal) and the changes are usually made at similar times during every game; a couple at 60-65 minutes, another one or two at 75 minutes and then sometimes one more right at the end.

I sit next to my Dad and I probably have a 95% success rate in calling who will be going off when I see which players are coming on.

It's managing by numbers, the circumstances of the individual game make no difference whatsoever to the type of changes he makes and the timings of them.

Today was one of the very rare exceptions, as he made the first two subs 5 minutes earlier than usual

On reflection it's probably time to take stock of why being pragmatic with Duff was a disaster, and even reflect if it was at all even tough it felt that way at the time. Look at him now at Hudds for instance.

Is "the Swansea Way" a massive noose around our collective necks given that those in power and influence seem to have no idea what that actually is? I'm sure we've all got our own take on it but sure as hell it's not what has been served up by Williams & Rusty.

Are there players with too much pull in the dressing room that are holding us back (I'm looking at you Matthew), and how do we address that?

It needs a root and branch clear out and change but I doubt those in charge have the balls for that or unfortunately, a significant number of our fans have either. Until that happens though, the mismanaged decline of the last 10 years or so will continue.

I haven't renewed my season ticket and for the first time in as long as I can recall, I am having serious doubts as to whether I will. I'm sure I'm not alone.

He did himself from the moment he begged for the WBA job publicly. Players have downed tools, he needs to go.

Beat Sheffield and the mood will change for a week or so. A few big losses and all mid table managera need to be worried There is still a lot to play for. Another shambles of a transfer window and we might well be looking down. With any luck the players will turn up next game and we will nab a couple of new players to inject more pace.
