New European League Announced Tonight

Cut the six loose immediately, impose bans on thier players representing thier countries, and, when the Americans get tired of it all and pull the plug, make them start at the bottom of the league pyramid.

Simples ✌

The bans of their players for the Euros could be interesting. Apart from the fact that it would devastate Wales, can someone be legally banned because their employer did something over which they had no control? The courts could be busy.

Uefa would still run their own competition presumably. Could be much more interesting than a boring CL semi-final involving two clubs owned by Arabs with dodgy human rights records.

They may well do.

But 6 teams in the PL would not be eligible. And wouldn’t care. So would play weakened teams. The whole league gets destroyed. All the money would go to the 6.

You’d have teams finishing below halfway qualifying for Europa league.

The whole league structure will be destroyed. And people don’t care? And can’t see how it affects us.

I know we all looked forward to playing at Old Trafford, Emirates etc. If we’re aiming for Turf Moor it’s hardly the same is it.

I honestly enjoyed going to places like Turf Moor, Crystal Palace and Goodison much more than Old Trafford and Chelsea after the initial buzz of going to the top six grounds wore off. Don’t get me started on the Emirates ! 😂

Edit: Michu apart!

Would Wales be devastated though?
Consider the likes of England, Germany, Italy and Spain...
Most of thier squad will be wiped out at a stroke.

Tottenham, Chelsea and Man City are tinpot clubs an all, not many fans will watch them.

Integrity, Foundation and History is paramount in football, we can't leave these yanks disturb tradition with some stupid franchised closed shop

All those teams have strength in depth - plenty of decent players to call on.

imagine Wales without Bale, Ramsey, Davies, Rodon, James, Neco Williams, Wilson, Ampadu, Levitt (anyone I’ve missed ?). I’m of course assuming Wilson and Ampadu stay with Liverpool and Chelsea respectively.

Fair, but Bale is on the beach now and Ramsey never plays anymore, will give you Davies Rodon and James, Wilson Ampadu and Levitt meh, Neco Williams could go either way.
My point being, the more pressure put on this European Super League the better 👌

Agree with your general point. Indeed the impact on the big nations will provide a stronger voice in opposition than little Wales.

Although some of these players are meh just imagine what our team may look like - an injury prone Joe Allen and David Brooks, Connor Roberts and 8 others from goodness knows where

If these games are going to be midweek assuming evening people from countries like America, Asia Australia will either be sleeping or working due to time difference. If early afternoon kick offs Europeans will be working.

I hope they go and fall apart.

Absolutely, it would look grim, but the prospect of a European Super League would be worse, battle lines have to be drawn, and I think its going to come to that unfortunately, and soon...
