Once it starts the others will follow.

Celtic and Rangers will be a shoe in because of world wide fan base.

Scottish league seems to have been overlooked in the proposal presented.

You might be right of course. 18 teams total. 6 English, 3 Italian, 3 Spanish, 3 German, 3 French, and 2 Scots

That sounds pretty much spot on, of course the standard of football in the SPL is abysmal, but looking at the bigger picture, any proposed European League must include both Rangers and Celtic purely on bums on seats/sales of commercial franchise, no brainer for the Yankee dollar paymasters.

If rumours are true and the FA throw them out of the league, we’ll go up. They’ll need massive balls to do it.

It's all about money, when the game was created for the working class populous for pure enjoyment, I've only ever known football as a money making machine though, but I have unstood that integrity and history is it's foundation.

I'd be happy if the 6 f*cked off in all honesty, it'll be competitive again

All teams joining the super money league will be kicked out of their domestic league and champions league next season, where does this leave promotion to the Premier League now with 6 teams gone?

Would take huge balls for the FA to throw the big six out of the league, but right now they want to have their pie and eat it.

A break away closed format league while also still being able to "compete in their respective national leagues". Quite frankly they should be thrown out or at the very least barred from being able to represent their respective FAs in European and Domestic cup competition. How long do you think the likes of Salah, Messi, etc will want to stick around for teams that are not going to win trophies

This could be a seismic moment for global football, just not in the way that the ESL predicts.

Players will go where the money is, and the super league will get a substantial following

While many players are motivated financially, there are just as many who are more motivated by legacy and history. Deny them the right to participate in anything that can win trophies for their countries (such as the Euros or the World Cup) and a LOT of players will think twice about joining the super league teams

Where there's supply there is a demand

Sadly true. In an ideal world the respective FAs and UEFA will kick the teams out of their leagues and European competition and FIFA will bar any players who participate in the Super League from being able to participate in any international competition.

After a season or two in the wilderness with zero income and they come grovelling back to their respective associations they should be allowed to rejoin... all the way down in the bottom of the football pyramid and be forced to work their way back up to the higher divisions. Maybe that would make them appreciate their luxurious positions a bit more.

De Bruyne and Salah would get a culture shock travelling to the likes of Hednesford Town and Kidderminster Harriers week in week out with non league refs who won't put up with their premier league sensibilities when the "Sunday League tackles" start flying in

I read Gary Nevilles comments about losing the club he supports. Manchester is big enough to have a third team, Manchester Academicals would do.

I would let them go and tax them accordingly, could be some big revenuse in a Europe League but I dont see it happening easily.

Have three EngWal divisions with 30 teams in each division. Three up and three down, get rid of the play offs and renergise the cup games.

The money getting to grass roots can be derived from the new Prem, which will still draw big crowds.

Newcastle, Everton, West Ham, Leicester would have good title chances.

Absolute disgrace of a proposal, outright greed.
It's been coming for some time though so the Premier League/FA/UEFA have had plenty of time to plan a response.
Lots of posturing & legal threats to come 🙄
