• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Whoever it is will also be gone at some point. Then we’ll do it all again. Best not to worry about it to be honest.

Still think they have mentioned something to Rooney....😮

Surely that’s just people putting 2+2 together. Isn’t he failing badly over in DC? Not surprising really though with who they have running the club over there.

And isn’t he on something like 2M a year? No thanks.

The romanticist in me wants Rodgers to come back - he knows how to man manage and could take the "possession at all costs" football and turn it into an end result like he did when he took over from Sousa.

Potter would also be a huge thumbs up from me, but whether either of those would contemplate a return to Swansea and in particular the Championship and be seen to have "failed and taken a step down" is another matter entirely.

The realist in me expects something like Cameron Toshack - though to be fair the golden age of our youth side came under his tenure, many of those players are still at the club and he knows how we like to play and more importantly is also free and likely would have a low salary.

Think this has Cam Toshack written all over it.
Anyone who thinks Brenda will come here is severely disturbed.
And please...do not get Lampard ffs.

I think that's far more likely, and to be honest I would take that at this stage. Would be suited if it's likely that Congreve and Josh Thomas are going to have to step up into big shoes.

Yeah, I feel the same, and couldn’t give a monkey’s about Martin leaving and I probably won’t have heard of the new guy.

They should go for GUSTAVO POYET.

….. with Cam Toshack and Gio Savarese as his coaches. 👍

We don’t have enough turds in the dressing room?

Cameron Toshack with Osian Roberts as DOF.
There’s risk in any appointment but having these two would feel like the grown ups are back in the building.
