After a year of not going to sign a contract.
Suddenly he is?
Can't see that happening it's a ruse surely.

There would be clauses obviously so he can leave, but if it’s protecting us to the tune of £10-£15m then it’s happy days.

He's been great for us, bit of a model professional in fairness, it works for him being here and it works for us, he's got many plusses, but does have minuses in his play, heading the ball being one, he thrives when he has room and when fed decent ball to feet etc, but he doesn't appeal enough to other "better" clubs for them to be convinced to part with the money that we expect to get from him.

Him signing a new contract helps him and us for certain, he's still plenty young enough to progress further and therefore be more attractive to other suiters etc, so its a win for us both.

Would be massive news if it happens, I’m sure he’ll take a bigger pay rise with a release clause, protects him and us.

I think this will be like a Brendan Rodgers contract. I still think he leaves us within 12 months, but he will get more cash (helped by the fact Ntcham ran away), and we get a protective clause in there.

Thats my thought, Ntcham leaving releases a large amount for salary, hopefully we can persuade him to sign a 2 year deal at least.

His contract had a club option for another year I'm sure I read, so had much more bargaining power.

If we can get £10 million we should jump at it…

1. It’s very unlikely he’ll sign a new contract

2. I don’t see Piroe fitting Duff’s high intensity, high press type of game

We all agree that he's one of the good guys as a person, and will score 10 to 20 goals for us over the season, so do we want to keep him or get rid of him? There are mixed messages on this site.
